Not really........the economic union / globalisation worked very well for Europe. The problem was that companies got too greedy and sent the majority of the manufacturing jobs to Asia/ China.

Germany kept hold of its manufacturing industry and done very well. The UK and US sent everything to China and abandoned its former workers to unemployment and drugs.

Most of western Europeans peaple are anti immigrants . Soon They will rise. It's a matter of when.

They're too beaten down to rise. The West has built a security state . You are under surveillance the moment you step outside, online , using your mobile, Oyster, credit cards etc. The intelligence services will no about any uprising before it's even begun.
