Some Christians believe that Jesus was worshipped in the same way that God the Father was worshipped. They use examples like the verses shown below:
“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him…” Matthew 2:11 NIV
“Suddenly Jesus met them. ‘Greetings,’ he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.” Matthew 28:9 NIV
In the original New Testament (which are written in Greek), the Greek word for the worship used in these verses is ‘proskuneo’ which means obeisance (expressing deep respect, deferential courtesy, homage, bow down) NOT Worship as the same way God the Father was worshipped.
The other type of worship used in the original New Testament (which are written in Greek) is the Greek word ‘Latreuo’ which means worshipping in a religious sense, to serve a God, perform sacred services, observance of the rights instituted for his worship (Just how God the Father is worshipped)
“and as a widow till she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day.”Luke 2:37 RSV
“But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets” Acts 24:14 KJV
The above explanation proves that Jesus was not worshipped like God the Father.
Jesus said “but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth which I heard from God;” John 8:40
The above verse is important to understand, Jesus is referring to himself as only a man, and stating God is separate from him.
“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:” Acts 2:22
Jesus himself brought out the distinction clearly in attributing divinity to God alone, who was also his God, as for instance:
Go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. (John 20:17)
God is One
Jesus had not the slightest hesitation in affirming the Unity of God.

Re: The Misunderstanding
In the New Testament, individuals worship Christ by offering gifts, prostrating at his feet, carrying them, and even kissing them (Matthew 2:2, 8-11; 18:26; 28:9; Luke 7:38).
This contradicts Christ, who worshipped the Father alone.
Even Christ, the prophet of God, followed the approach of the ancient prophets and the divinity restricted to the Father alone.
3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.
John 17:3-4
The veneration and worship of images and statues is a pagan ritual practiced by many ordinary Christians, though not all of them, within the monasteries or churches of the Orthodox and Catholic denominations and their many Christian denominations (such as the Coptic, Maronite, Chaldean, Syriac, and Assyrian). It is common to see images and statues of Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, and many other saints as objects of veneration and worship, with the exception of Protestant churches and monasteries, which oppose this practice.
Pagan rituals and polytheism are evident in Christianity's worship among the general public, not only regarding the divinity of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, but also the veneration of images and statues of Christ, the Virgin Mary, and saints such as Peter, John the Baptist, and Paul the Apostle.
Statues are found throughout the halls of churches of both the Orthodox and Catholic denominations, and their walls are decorated with pictures and drawings. This undoubtedly contradicts the teachings of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, which prohibit Christians from venerating statues and images. When visiting St. Paul's Cathedral in London or St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, one can hardly distinguish between them and the famous pagan temple (Somnath) in India!
Christians not only venerated images of Christ, but also sanctified the wood of the cross. For some, the cross became a magical tool, used to heal the sick and remove witchcraft. Simple Christians gave free rein to their instincts, transforming relics, images, and sacred statues into objects of worship, before which they prostrated, kissed, lit candles, burned incense, crowned them with flowers, and asked them to grant their wishes. There are no texts in the Old Testament that justify Christians' veneration of images and statues. There is an explicit prohibition against their Jewish and Christian
followers from venerating and making images and statues, such as:
Deuteronomy 5:8 states: "8 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below..."
After the spread of Islam during the eighth century AD in the Arab East and its neighboring countries, which forbade the veneration of images and statues, some Christians and their rulers began to reject the heresy of venerating images and statues in churches and worked to remove them. Among them was the Roman Emperor Leo III, who convened a council of bishops and issued a decree in 726 AD demanding the removal of all images and statues from churches. He prohibited the placement of images of Christ and the Virgin Mary, and ordered the covering of images on church walls with plaster. However, the priests did not agree to the decree, and the church opposed it.

Re: The Misunderstanding
Allah gives falsification tests. Allah says in the Quran that if you believe that the Quran is from other than the one true God then produce a book like it. This is known as the linguistic miracle of the Quran that can not be imitated by a human. 1400 years have passed and no one has been able to meet this challenge.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=n-flvFktg ... BsYW50ZXJu
Allah also says that if you think the Quran is from other than the one true God then you should be able to find within it contradictions.
We believe the quran is the direct word of god. God spoke to the angel gabriel who revealed the quran to the prophet Muhammad who's followers wrote it down. The quran has certain parameters to prove its truthfulness. God says, "if this book were from other than God you would've found within it many inconsistencies" just like in science, we have a falsification test. Also God says "we revealed the reminder and we will preserve it" the quran claims that it'll he preserved, additionally we believe the quran is inimitable. God challenged the Arabs of old "make a chapter like it" if you don't believe the quran is from god then create something like it. Something that speaks about morality and law and history and science and has prophecies and is memorised by millions. We believe these 3 tests are what's nessecary for a book to even be considered to be from God. The Bible on the other hand is not preserved, it has had insersions and omissions. The bible is not free from error, the book of job speaks about how the earth has 4 legs like a table, the bible isn't inimitable, there are so many different editions of the bible. From this perspective we say the bible doesn't even have a right to be considered as a book from God.
Islam gives the best way of life and I challenge anyone to give a better way of life. For example, it prohibits the poisons that are destroying individuals, families and communities: gambling, alcohol, drugs, sexual immorality, prostitution, pornography, interest dealings etc. We have politicians educated at the best university possible but they can not provide guidance and a way of life better than an illiterate man 1400 years ago that has solutions to the poisons that are destroying societies today and instead encourage it and profit out of them.
The Quran contains knowledge that could not have been known such as scientific facts, historical facts and prophecies. To suggest the the facts mentioned in the Quran is a coincidence when it has been demonstrated to be correct over and over again is absurd and delusional. Also, if the Quran copied from the Bible then how was it able to correct the historical mistakes the Bible makes? To say that the Quran copied from the Greeks is also absurd because there are things that the Greeks were wrong about which the Quran gets right. Also if it copied from the Greeks then it would have copied the the things that they got wrong too but that is not the case. For some examples, go to minute 21:40 of this video:

We can also study the life of prophet Muhammad and can rule out that he was crazy, liar, delusional, deceived and therefore the only possible explanation remaining is that he has indeed who he claim to be, the final messenger of God. The authentic sayings and teachings of Muhammad (hadiths) is also more preserved than any history book due to the way it has been preserved.

Islam is simple, makes sense and it fits in with your natural inclination/disposition that you were born with. For example, one great creator that did not leave us alone without guidance or purpose and sent messengers with the same core message . He does not switch up the message and confuse people. He is not racist or ethnocentric where he believes that you have to be born from a particular tribe or nation to be saved or to receive guidance. He does not punish someone unless the message has been sent to them through messengers and prophets. Everyone is born sinless, a kid is not held accountable for his actions until he reaches the age of maturity, neither is a person who is mentally insane and not aware of his actions. The main beliefs in Islam is to believe in the one true God, his angels, his messengers, revelation that was given to these messengers, destiny, day of judgement and life after death. Allah warns us about eternal hellfire and gives us glad tidings of the opportunity to live eternally in paradise by worshiping him alone without any partners and following and obeying the messenger of your time. Islam is simply the submission of will to the one true God, a person who does this is called a muslim.

Re: The Misunderstanding
Did John the Baptist Know Jesus?
Jesus never met John the Baptist
Accounts in the gospels that mention the baptism of Jesus:
”And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.”
“And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:”
“And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Mark 1:9-11 KJV also Matthew 3:16:-17 records a similar account.
”But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,”
“Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.”
”Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,”
“And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven” Luke 3:19-22 KJV
How could John baptise Jesus if John was in prison (John was not released and died in prison). If Jesus was sinless (as the Christians are taught) why did he need to be baptised?
John had never met Jesus and sent his disciples to enquire if Jesus was the Messiah. When John the Baptist was imprisoned, he never left the prison, he was executed by decapitation.
Two accounts prove that he never met Jesus and sent his disciples to enquire.
“And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.”
”And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?”
”When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?”
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached” Luke 7:18-22 KJV also the same account in Matthew 11:2-5

Re: The Misunderstanding
Muhammad ibn (son of) Abdullah ibn (son of) Abdul Mutalib, was born on 12 Rabi 'Awwal in the year 570 C.E. (Christian Era) in Makkah, (today: Saudi Arabia) and he died in 633 C.E. in Yathrib (today: Madinah, Saudi Arabia)
In Arabic the word prophet (nabi) is derived from the word naba which means news. Thus we deduce that a prophet spreads the news of God and His message, they are in a sense God’s ambassadors on earth. Their mission is to convey the message to worship One God. This includes, calling the people to God, explaining the message, bringing glad tidings or warnings and directing the affairs of the nation. All the prophets were anxious to convey God’s message sincerely and completely and this included the last prophet, Muhammad. During his final sermon Prophet Muhammad asked the congregation three times whether he had delivered the message, and called on God to witness their answer, which was a resounding “yes!”.
As well as the essence of their call to One God, another accepted sign of the truth of the prophets is how they live their lives. The accounts of Prophet Muhammad’s life that we have inherited from our righteous predecessors illustrate that Muhammad’s Prophethood was guided by God from the very beginning. Long before, Prophethood Muhammad was being prepared to guide humankind to the straight path and his life experiences stood him in good stead for such a weighty mission. Then at the age of 40 when Prophethood was bestowed upon him, God continued to support and affirm his mission. Any account of Muhammad’s life is filled with examples of his exemplary character; he was merciful, compassionate, truthful, brave, and generous, while striving solely for the rewards of the Hereafter. The way Prophet Muhammad dealt with his companions, acquaintances, enemies, animals and even inanimate objects left no doubt that he was ever mindful of God.
Muhammad’s birth was accompanied by many so called miraculous events and the talk of the extraordinary events no doubt functioned as signs of Prophethood,
Special but not unique circumstances surrounded childhood of Prophet Muhammad and these undoubtedly had a bearing on his character. By the time he was eight years old he had suffered through the death of both his parents and his beloved grandfather Abdul Muttalib. He was left in the care of his uncle and great supporter Abu Talib. Thus even as a young boy he had already suffered great emotional and physical upheaval. Both the many chroniclers of Muhammad’s life and the Quran acknowledge his disrupted life.
Did He not find you (O Muhammad) an orphan and gave you a refuge? (Quran 93:6)
Muhammad’s uncle Abu Talib was poor and struggled to keep his family fed, thus during his adolescence Muhammad worked as a shepherd. From this occupation he learned to embrace solitude and developed characteristics such as patience, cautiousness, care, leadership and an ability to sense danger. Shepherding was an occupation that all the prophets of God we know of had in common. ‘…The companions asked, “Were you a shepherd?” He replied, “There was no prophet who was not a shepherd.”’[1]
In his teens Muhammad sometimes travelled with Abu Talib, accompanying caravans to trade centres. On at least one occasion, he is said to have travelled as far north as Syria. Older merchants recognized his character and nicknamed him Al-Amin, the one you can trust. Even in his youth he was known as truthful and trustworthy. One story that is accepted by most Islamic scholars and historians is the account of one of Prophet Muhammad’s trips to Syria.
The story goes that the monk Bahira foretold the coming Prophethood and counselled Abu Talib to “guard his nephew carefully”. According to biographer Ibn Ishaq, as the caravan in which Prophet Muhammad was travelling approached the edge of town, Bahira could see a cloud that appeared to be shading and following a young man. When the caravan halted under the shadow of some trees, Bahira “looked at the cloud when it over-shadowed the tree, and its branches were bending and drooping over the apostle of God until he was in the shadow beneath it.” After Bahira witnessed this he observed Muhammad closely and asked him many questions concerning a number of Christian prophecies he had read and heard about.
The young Muhammad was distinguished among his people for his modesty, virtuous behaviour and graceful manners, thus it was no surprise for his companions to see him, even as a youth many years before Prophethood, shun superstitious practices and keep away from drinking alcohol, eating meat slaughtered on stone altars or attending idolatrous festivals. By the time he reached adulthood Muhammad was thought of as the most reliable and trustworthy member of the Meccan community. Even those who concerned themselves with petty tribal squabbles acknowledged Muhammad’s honesty and integrity.
Muhammad’s virtues and good moral character was established from a young age, and God continued to support and guide him. When he was 40 years old Muhammad was given the means to change the world, the means to benefit the whole of humanity

Re: The Misunderstanding
If Jesus was God, why did he tell Satan to worship God and not himself?
"Jesus said to him, 'Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" Matthew 4:10 NIV
Jesus tells us who to pray to - to the Father and not to Jesus:
”But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:6 RSV
"Pray then like this: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." Matthew 6:9 RSV
If Jesus was God why is he seated on the right hand of God? It does not say he is seated on the right hand of the father. These verses proves that Jesus is not part of God:
“But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God” Luke 22:69 NIV
“’You have said so,’ Jesus replied. ‘But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.’” Matthew 26:64 NIV
Jesus has no authority over who sits on the right or left of him, so he is not God or coequal to God:
“Jesus said to them, ‘You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.’” Matthew 20:23 NIV

Re: The Misunderstanding
The Bible says… ‘When Jonah was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the fish, so shall the son of man, be for 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth.’ Did Jesus peace be upon him, scientifically fulfill the sign of Jonah?
Holy Bible itself proves that Prophet Jesus PBUH never died. It is mentioned in the bible that Jews asked him for a sign. Prophet Jesus PBUH said that no sign shall be given to you except the sign of Jonah. As Jonah was in the belly of fish for three days and three nights so shall be the son of man in the belly of earth for three days and three nights. It is crystal clear that Prophet Jesus PBUH never raised from death on the third day. Christians know it in fact we all know it that he was found missing on Sunday morning. So Prophet Jesus PBUH never fulfilled this prophecy.
So Jesus Christ peace be upon him, is in the tomb, on Friday night.’ ¬¬¬¬¬¬He was there in Saturday morning, one day, one night. ¬¬¬¬¬¬ And he was there Saturday night – so two nights and one day. ¬¬¬¬¬¬And Sunday morning the tomb was empty. ¬¬¬¬¬¬So Jesus Christ peace be upon him, was there for two nights, and one day – It is not 3 days and 3 nights. ¬¬¬¬¬¬So it is a mathematical error
the prophecy says… ‘As Jonah was, so shallthe son of man be.’ ¬¬¬¬¬¬Jonah was – How? ¬¬¬¬¬¬How was Jonah in the belly of the Whale?… Belly of the fish… Dead or alive? ¬¬¬¬¬¬Alive – When he was thrown over board, he was alive. ¬¬¬¬¬¬In the belly of the whale, he goes around the ocean, dead or alive? – Alive. ¬¬¬¬¬¬He prays to Almighty God… dead or alive ? – Alive! ¬¬¬¬¬¬He is vomited out on the seashore – Dead of alive? ¬¬¬¬¬¬Alive, alive, alive, alive. ¬¬¬¬¬¬ When I ask the Christians… ‘How was Jesus Christ peace be upon him, in the sepulchre… in the tomb – Dead of alive?’ ¬¬¬¬¬¬They tell me… ‘Dead.’ If he is dead, he has not fulfilled the sign
The Romans crucified criminals by the thousands and it was not worth their while to spend time writing and retaining documents of what happened. Thus, there is no extant record of the crucifixion of Jesus.
Long after the time of Jesus, some historians wrote about Jesus, but not from personal knowledge or from records they gained access to. The most famous of these, and perhaps the only first-century historian to mention Jesus, was the Jewish historian Josephus. Assuming he actually wrote the Testimonium Flavianum (it is not possible that this passage is entirely authentic)
We have no evidence, historical or otherwise, for the crucifixion of Jesus, and he did not rise from the dead.
But this death and resurrection of Jesus is the heresy of Paul and the four anonymous writers
Christians are looking for a God to kill to bear their sins
Is there anything more ridiculous than that?
Paul introduced into Christianity, perhaps from his pagan surroundings, the ideas of God becoming man and God dying for the sins of man.
Striking differences in accounts of Jesus’ crucifixion: An analysis of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
Even the four scribes disagreed
The four scribes disagreed on the issue of crucifixion, and their statements are conflicting. Here, I cannot be certain that Christ was the crucified one.
I do not rely for salvation from hell on a book that The four scribes do not know how to verify the facts in it
Therefore, the opinion of the party that supports crucifixion does not matter because they are seeking the help of these false scribes!
Would a sane person cast their eternal fate on the speculations of anonymous writers?

Re: The Misunderstanding
Catholics and many other sects of Christianity believe Jesus is the son of God, coequal to God, God became man, the Messiah, and a prophet all in one. Besides being blasphemous this is confusing.
Wouldn’t it make more sense that Jesus was only the awaited messiah, a prophet, a servant of God who was a man?
There are many verses in the New Testament to prove this:
”And the crowds said, ‘This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee.’” Matthew 21:11 RSV
“And he said to them, ‘What things?’ And they said to him, ‘Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,’” Luke 24:19 RSV
The below two verses state God is separate from his servant Jesus:
“The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus” Acts 3:13 RSV
“When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.” Acts 3:26 NIV
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” Luke 2:52 KJV
“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,” 1 Timothy 2:5 RSV
Jesus healed the paralysed man, “When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.” Matthew 9:8 NIV
in the first century C.E. there were many Christianities, with many different views of God and Jesus. Eventually the Roman church, started by Paul, managed to convert, buy out, or kill off all other versions. The Unitarians, the Universalists, the Marcionites, and all the others were mostly killed off, and the world was left with Pauline Trinitarianism, which had and has nothing whatsoever to do with the teachings of Jesus.
Renowned Roman Catholic bible scholar Raymond E. Brown states: “Jesus is never called God in the Synoptic Gospels, and a passage like Mark 10:18 would seem to preclude the possibility that Jesus used the title of himself. Even the fourth Gospel never portrays Jesus as saying specifically that he is God.
The sermons which Acts attributes to the beginning of the Christian mission do not speak of Jesus as God. Thus, there is no reasons to think that Jesus was called God in the earliest layers of the New Testament tradition.”
Renowned Roman Catholic bible scholar Joseph Pohle states : “Some modern writers hold that even the Didache, or 'Teaching of the Twelve Apostles,' the oldest literary monument of Christian antiquity outside of the New Testament canon, must be the work of an Ebionitic or Monarchianistic writer, because it contains no formal profession of faith in the Divinity of Jesus Christ and the Atonement.”
