gogarad,
i believe every human can fight racism. all you have to do... is accept that all human beings are equal. you have a heart. and it is a good heart. but you need to change the attitude of that heart
do the mantra: "all humans are equal!"
when i was a kid, we had a mushunguli maid. i still remember, to this day, how hurt i was when one day one of my aunts came and i was eating with the maid's mushunguli kids
she said that i disgraced my people.
she said that in front of their face. i swear, i was ssssssssoooooo embarrassed for her
i don't really have anything bad to say about the iranian people. but all i can say is that dhuusa is right. we are a people hell bent on killing our brothers and sisters because of some god-grieven tribes. so i will accept that we may be the worst people on earth!
When did I call you names now?
And doesn't mean I wish not 2 answer u that I am out of words...Get ur head together..
Yes u were dead wrong!!!
Goga,
What was your intention by telling me to go 'find a bone and munch on it', if it wasn't to irate me? Obviously you said it piss me off, got no problems with that, why deny it? or are you saying you didn't know the implication of what you were saing? either way it bespeaks poorly of you.
and if you could answer my question, you could've in fewer words then your last post. I wonder why didn't you?

Afdhere, I agree. What ur aunt did was qalaad..And Somalis have tendencies of feeling ashamed of the jareers and anyone who they think is not "their level".. But my hate towards the Iranians..(O.k. said I hate them to irritate you
) is cuz of the way they act. I came a cross A LOT of them and wallahi I was hoping I was wrong about them. But each and everyone of them go from one extreme to the other just so they can fit it and call them selves true "Canadians".. They eat pork, dye their hair blonde. Change their names from "Atuusa" to Amanda. And Samiya to Samantha.. Guys grow their hair with ponytails and wear tight cloths so they can claim to be Italians or Portuguese calling them selves Tony, Anthony..etc...not cuz they believe in that..Just so they won't stand out as Immigrants. Now shit like that I can't stand. I don't care if someone chooses a different path or life because they want to. But when you do it to be accepted is a different story..

something for all the anti-homosexual somalis to ponder: why is is normal for somali men to hold hands, touch each other inapproperiately, share bed AND call each other 'aboowey?'
I raised my disgust with this side of somali male etiquette and was lambasted and called a hater.
It seems the more one closely examines somalis culture, the more confusing, hypocritical, contradictory it unravels to be. Very interesting!
I'm out

LOL
i have a lot of chinese friends. their names are like john cheng, mary ann sue, christine hu,
although i would fight with them over why they would change their names, but i understand that... they just want to assimilate into their new culture.
the funniest thing in the world... was when i met a somali girl whose name was: daisy ali
and what about the somaliland foreign minister-- edna? you think that is af-somali name?
we have to be fair. and we have to allow others the room to choose their lives.

Lol @daisy...There was a girl I met long time ago, her real name was Rosa and she was Somali..but that's not what I am saying...
I am not against anyone changing their names to make it more easy for others to pronounce..oh no..but the pattern I am talking about..the ENTIRE package..not only changing names..I can change my name today from "Eibado" to Aaliya if I wish..but to take the whole shabang with it is another story..
I am not against anyone wanting to live their life how they see fit, but to do it just so you can "Fit in" is what I am against..
