Drug in Iraq makes rebel fighters fearless

Post by North brother »

Exclusive By Chris Hughes
A DRUG which makes users feel superhuman is being taken by rebel fanatics before they launch attacks against UK troops in Iraq.

The pill - filled with addictive stimulant methamphetamine - is given to insurgents so they have no fear of taking on heavily-armed Coalition forces.

Now senior British officers fear the courage drug, which is known as a "pinky", is flooding Basra where it could help fuel a second armed uprising.

Last night a senior Army source, who returned from Iraq two months ago, said there was a " big drugs trade" in Basra and feared leaders of different terrorists groups would hand out the pills to their followers.

The insider added: "Members of Muqtadr el-Sadr's fanatical Mehdi Army who've taken it have been known to stand in front of US armoured vehicles and open fire almost oblivious to the tank's guns.

"American officers think that suicide bombers may also be given pinkies to psyche them up before carrying out an attack."

Methamphetamine - one of the chemicals in the courage drug - is related to amphetamine but the effects on the central nervous system are greater.

Users feel a huge surge of energy and confidence 10 to 15 minutes after they have taken a dose.

The precise contents of the pills is classified information.

No wonder the war in somalia was as intence because khaat has the same ingredients as the drug above and to this day continues . So faraxs are fearless when they use khaat. Laughing

And what is this news by "senior British officers" supposed to do to the reputation of the insurgents? Tarnish it? First, this isn't news, it has already been alleged by the US many months ago. But, most of us know nothing alleged/claimed by the US/UK can be taken at its word. This could as well be part of the misinformation war by the US/UK. There are numerous examples that support what the US/UK do. Just recently, it was discovered the U.S. military was secretly paying Iraqi newspapers to publish stories written by American troops in an effort to burnish the image of the U.S. mission in Iraq. Another example, the US first denied the use of chemical weapons to kill innocent civilians in Fallujah, but later admitted using it. So, who can trust what "senior British officers" or their US counterparts allege or claim? Not even the majority of American/British citizens trust it.

Ahab
The insurgents are managing to tarnish their reputation without any help from anyone. Blowing up markets, car bombing hospitals, shooting government officials as Iraq tries to reconstruct. They're animals.

Tarnishing a reputation was never a factor that could work in Iraq, unlike US politics where a politician's chances of election could be affected. The Iraq invaders have already concluded that, but still cling to a desperate hope.
