We didn't light candles in my house we were rich. We could afford "Faynuus" Rolling Eyes

The don...

U have no idea how much faynuus. We haven't used till after the war because we always lived in teh city and had electricity..but i have all these memories of having a faynuus lit in the living room or "barandada".. everybody just telling stories, eating casho and just looking at the stars...in some ways the years after the war began were some of the best years of my life.

...because candles are so primitive.

There's a bunch in my basement from 1999 when we thought the lights would go out. Laughing Laughing

^^ Somehow rich companies brainwash consumers into believing candle lit dinners and aromatic rooms are "romantic".

Sometimes anigu intaan faynuuska qolka dhinac ka dhigo , albaabka laabkiisa ayaan gabdhaha guriga uu yeedhi jirey Laughing
" Heblaayey, aar inaar shaahi ba iga go'ee , falaas tan iga qaad"
Then she would come walk right between the faynuus and me, so that I could see all her goods , underneath the dirac and googarad. Laughing
Then 5 mins later it's " Aar biyahani halkee bey inaga marayan tolow, naa heblaayey, aar inaar biyo ilaa kaalay" .Sii caadi ah baad u arkeysa , ismana oga

Qaxooti Daanyeer,

i got a funny feeling that u said something a bit more than u are telling us for a grown woman to spit at u!lool Laughing

Anyho, what is so romantic about candles, is it due to the fact that the poor lighting allows u to imagine ur girlfriend to look like Halle Berry, instead of Star Jones? Confused
