ANSWERS FOR MOHAWK...

Post by Galol »

I just saw your `galol' thread.

To answer your Qs' I have been living here for quite a while, nearly 18 years. As for british political system, it is as expected of all things British: amazingly boring. The Brits are so boring they even have a word that differentiates mere boredom from quality boredom: dullness. You see, the latter word means not only boredom but boredom with intelligence, coolness, calmness. You can be dull but interesting.

Boringness itself is not to be sniffed at. Most of those who changed the world were bona fide bores - Newton, Jesus, Mo even. Would you invite any of these guys to a break-dancing party?

Exciting people are genuinely boring. It is not a matter of the meek inheriting the earth it is a matter of the world belonging to the dull.

So hail to her Majesty, she is so boring she is interesting. The world media agree.

Britain is a country run by the elites for the benefit of all elites. Who was that Greek guy who said the elites should always rule?

Well the lad was right: Britain had no serious revolution for hundreds of years and its better for it, most of the time. The peasants know where they stand; nowadays it is usually in the queues for the Burberry caps and purses. The tried and tested of British rule is this: punish the peasants, keep the country running. this dictum is understood by Left and Right. For example, the leftwing mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, a man known as an stalwart of the hard left, introduced the Congestion Charge, a tax on cars in the richest part of the city. The result: central London is easy throughfare for the Jags and Mercs of the rich while the `Mondeo man' is nowhere to be seen.

It is times like this you see how these guys came to rule us and everybody else: They accept authority without question. Rule of law is not what you want but you are told to accomodate. And as a peasant I will not live anywhere else: the ales are that good!
