Micheal ,

soo that is where you go fro your somali?

Iam thirsty??? waa domonohay??? that must be some Digil Mirefle dialect or maybe Cawar's folks.

Iam thirsty by most somalis is.... Waan Oo-manahay or waa Haraad-sanay.

sexy selma,

just read, read and read, even if you don't understand it, and after that check the Somali english dicitionary and get the meaning.. and keep on it. and try to write your 2 sentence comment forum in Somali.

Yu're welcome Selma. Smile

X, thats just one of many I have. I noticed that the spoken phrase (the "mouth" icon to the left of the phrase) is sometimes different than what is printed there. So if you listen to the woman speak, you may be able to place her accent.

BTW, most of what i've learned was from the same method you just mentioned. I read read and read some more, than chek the on line dictionaries.

War you are the qaldaan for the rest of us somalis, so dont project your mistake unto others.

You can clearly see that "waa Domonahay" is a typing error...but we say waan oomanahay or simply "oon aa i haayo" not waa haraad-sanay<.....this sounds more like Orromo. Laughing

"Hi cawar I am an angel"

Salma

If angels looked like you we would,ve a big problem then. Laughing Laughing

Cawar, there are a few typo's there. "See tahay" being one, as the woman says it as "Sidee tahay."

Thats good to know. However, the woman says it as "Sidee," leading me to believe it was a typo.
