are poets soft/sissies?
for a man, does being a poet mean your soft? or a sissy?
if your more emotionally involved with your warmth, sensitivity than the middling male does that mean your soft?
what does being 'hard' mean to you?
i thought being real and saying no matter what's on your mind/heart was solid whether you put that on paper or in fact articulate it not considering what fockers thought of you was 'hard'? according to the grapevine that ain't it no more
what's your reflection on this?

"poetry is the breath of life" someone close to my heart once uttered to me; I'm still trying to decipher what they meant by it however.
Poetry is beautiful. I write poetry whenever I can. It gives me this great feeling of satisfaction and I'm overcome with euphoria once I've completed writing one, especially if it has a rhythm to it.
Real men write poetry.

did u hear that sissy cry?
i wonder why... please tell me why!
because this sissy craves attention
thinking that he doesn't earn deception
he may earn it he may not
but that's a different story that I forgot
this sissy thinks that he's the best
thinks he's better then the rest
but what this sissy doesn't know
is that kids don't like his very fake show
the show that he puts on every single day
his foolish play, his foolish way
the name of this sissy remains un-named
but remember the beast cannot be tamed...
i hope this sissy can change his ways
and maybe he'll be a good friend someday
i hope that day is very near
for that very day an apology i hear
but is this sorry really true?
this very poem is written for you
please be you and nobody other
read this poem but you don't have to bother
for i am not as wise as i should be
this poem is for you and not for me
now sadly my poem comes to an end
redeem yourself, my sissy friend...
I guess the message in this poem is to be yourself, never become like somebody else... don't be a fake, but be YOU. Thanx.

Who is a real Man?
That who is not a boy,
nor a sissy who secretly loves a boy,
Nor the one who is moved much worst cries over poetry,
or the one into pottery,
Mostly i despise the crying types,
You know the kind-who wear emotional stripes,
Who adore Riwaad plays, eat strawberry cheese with their bagels,
who are so proper, so neat--no mamas boy-it mind boggles,
Who is my Man?
That sweet-tall-generous, gentleman MAN of Golden plastic exterior,
That three magic word that delights my interior---
........Platuinum Master card.

poetry is like translating your vision into words.
I love somali poet Elmi Bodari.
The most famous Somali poet is Sayid Mohamed Abdala Hassan aka mad mullah by many. I've seen a very large collection Sayid Mohamed' poems. This man was faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from soft. Here's his famous koofil gabay
