Somalia was never a rich country
We tend to be proud, but in reality Somalia was never a rich country.
Most people there are still in abject poverty.
So, youngsters,
Don’t believe your parents arrogance.

^^It had a rich history, culture and traditions..People were/are still happy despite the "abject" poverty...
U know some of the strangest thing i have seen when during the failed humanatarian mission in 1993, I have seen American soldiers reverting to Islam because they fell in love with WHAT kept these people happy in the midst ofs starvartion, civil war and disease-Islam.
Material richness is not everything in life. That's something gaalo like you will never understand.
Get a life, you stupid atheist.

Somalia was always a rich country, the difference is that this richness has never been fully realized. With unexplored minerals such as salt, gas, uranium and a commercially profitable coastline, Somalia is indeed a rich country. Not to mention its located in strategic position (it has the potential to block the entire red sea). It is also potential agricultural kingpin, capable of cage feeding the kikuyus to the south and desert-covered Yemenis
Same
An ex-colonial officer wrote an article in teh New Scotsman recently about his memories in Somaliland. One of the things that made me laugh was a passage which said Somalis believe their country to be paradise on earth despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary"
So true.
When God was creating the planet he left Somalia till the end. I think the project must have been overbudget he came round to create us. so he threw all the leftovers he thought not good enough for anywhere else some rocks, some acacia trees, some camels and then somalis of course.
Look the place has less water than the Sahara which at least has oasis. And our wealth is in camels surely the dumbest, ugliest, smelliest most useless pieces of livestock trash one can imagine. Death to camels!

You know what Galol, I think you have an inner sense of feeling isolated because of your atheism. I will tell you this, We Somalis, despite our domestic problems such that tribalism has brought about destruction in Somalia, have a confidence and love in our heart for our country.
I agree with PHD, our country's riches are still unexplored and I hope that one day Somalia will be one of best destionations that many from all over all the world would come to better their lives. The two rivers, the long coast, the desert, the mountains, the livestock are all blessing to us.

You did not make sene with your personal attack so try again.
The mountains are really hillocks, the rivers are puny, seas among the least productive in the world and the people the least intelligent, most violent pieces of scum god has ever dreamt of creating. And then they had the calamity of camels and Islam sitting on their souls surely the most destructive combinations of Tsunamis that god could ever inflict on any race.
Now these are facts except the last one which is an educated and considered opinion.
Love? Of course you can still love the place. Love is blind afterall.
