1. Boston = very expensive. average 1 bedroom rent = $900 (not including utilities). The plus of living in Boston is that it has an excellent public transportation network, no need for a car. The weather is cold in the winter and very windy.

2. Somali Community = Divided as in all cities. Few working professionals.

My advice is unless u are going to Harvard, MIT, or any IvyLeague school, or getting a job paying $60,000 or more, DON'T MOVE TO BOSTON

$900.00 for one bedroom is expensive compared to only I think Ohio and Minnesota. Actually in our area it is $1,100 to 1,200.00.

For someone from MN, it's gonna be tuff. As you said you are used to the constant company of camel fukkers, well, you won't get that here. The number of Somalis in the greater Boston area is estimated about 3 - 4000, scattered all over the State, the only water-hole that attracts is the money transfer office or the only one Somali restaurant. Quite a number of Bostonians are illiterate cab drivers, few are educated and business venturing is unheard of.
