Locked up!

Salam Alekum this poem is inspired by all the brothers who have had their freedom snatched away from them. May Allah give them Sabr and hope Insha'ALLAH. victory will be ours one day!

The last five lines are in the memories of all those who made the journey to their creator whilst under false imprisonment and for all those who will be free again one day, Insha’Allah. May Allah give them patience and hope


Hey bruvas, yo you aint locked up,
But you better wake up an’ realise,
Coz you’re the only ones guys.

You got brothers locked up- no one knows whodunit,
You got brothers locked up- for things they dint commit,
You got brothers locked up- you gonna stay put an’ sit?

Locked up without trial, families don’t know,
Taken in the dead of night, jus dragged an’ told to go.

Leaving behind sobbing children, helpless mothers
Grown sons taken away from grieving fathers.

Yo sisters, you still got your families,
But you better wake up an’ realise
Coz you’re the only ones guys.

We got brothers locked up- no one knows why,
We got brothers locked up- tortured an’ left to die,
We got brothers locked up- can’t you hear the families cry?

They have to put up with untold violence
But this ummah will never be silenced.

Locked away without reason,
Falsely accused, think they’re guilty of treason.

But have patience bros, we’re watchin’ you’re backs,
We’re gonna voice your silence- the systems’ whack.

Now there’s one last thing I wanna say,

Don’t worry bro coz I pray for you everyday,
Pray for Allah to take the pain away,
An’ in the meantime you gotta be strong,
Victory will come to us before long- Insha’Allah
