The Taliban has also gained control of much of rural Afghanistan. It's only a matter of time before Karzai and the coalition of the coerced and bribed are kicked out of Kabul and the few towns they control. What the senior US intelligence analyst (author of Imperial Hubris) has predicted is materializing. Afghans are fed up with Karzai and the coalition and yearn for the old days of order and justice under the Taliban. If you think this what I personally think, read news and analyses written by Western news sites.

Are they really Taliban.
We dont have much info on this.
The Americans label them as Taliban so the rest of the world follows.
We are ignoring the tribal and ethnic makeup of afghanistan.
Kharzai is a convenient Pushtoon figurhead for the americans and the Northeners who control the government.
The Pushton who dominated afghanistan since the days of Nadir Shah
have found themselves in a subordinate position.
What we are seeing today is the rebirth of pushtoon tribal "nationalism"
under the banner of Islam.
No tadjik or Uzbek or Hazaara or even a resident of Herat will, ally
with them, unless conditions change.
gurey...did u even read the freaking article? they are not the "taliban"...the pakistani media dubbed them the "pakistani taliban"..
they are all misleading labels.. Was there ever an afghani taliban??
Taliban as a movement was pakistani from the begining, and under close
supervision of the ISI.
The americans where aware of the creation of the Taliban, and the CIA approved of what the Pakistanis where doing.
so when they call todays movement in waziristan and spin boldak,
Pakistani taliban, they are just giving you another misleading label.
by the way waziristan is infamous for the dubious sexual preferances of its
residents.
any taxi driver in Abudhabi will testify.
