I donÂ’t think Somaliland will intervene. Of course they are likely to express their opinions on the matter. However they will not get involved, just as Djibouti and Kenya are unlikely to get involved. Just like any other nation claiming sovereignty, the Somaliland administration is responsible for protecting its soil. I guess weÂ’ll wait for Somaliland to get involved if it gets attacked.

Why don't you enlighten us then genius?
But factually speaking, it's something i'm interested in knowing, as I had this discussion with a workmate last night.
BUT!!! I WILL pledge this. If RESPECTED members suspect i'm rebel rousin, say so, and i'll delete. Because wallahi, the last thing i'm trying to do, or WANT, is for this to turn into a qabiil war/bashing thread. I desire only learned and informed opinions.

i dont think so 2 , since ethopia owns their leaders, remember it were amxaaro who created the rebelgroups snm and ssdf and i think its in both of their interest to enjoy of the fighting esp puntland, on the other hand somaliland could be pissed off cuss amxaaro are defending their biggest enemy c/yusuf, if they dont see now that amxaaro want to balkanize us in to many states than i feel sorry for them

maxamed arent somaliland and puntland somalis, you acting like they are canjaabi for us, remember the war 1977 all the somalis of somalia, djiboutie, somali galbeed, northen somalia, were involved in the fighting although we were kicking some ass we still didnt came out as victory what makes you think that only the maxkamadaa and their fighters will be sucsessfull
Faqash, I share your view, but I think Somaliland and other countries in the region can do more to influence the Ethiopians to withdraw if they are not dragged into the war. Puntland is a different story however as it is part of Somalia for now. It would have to either give a clear signal that it is against any invasion or join the war to defend the country. Otherwise it would either be seen as supporting the occupation or something worse. I think at least Somaliland has spoken against the Ethiopian aggression. So has Djibouti. We all know the Ogaden resistance is against what the Ethiopians are doing. The Kenyan Somalis in the Kenyan parliament have also spoken out against it and the governor of Banadir has totally condemned the actions of the TFG. The only ones left to speak out as far as I'm aware is the Puntland administration. We'll see what happens.
