AW
trying to drive a wedge between two brothers huh
seriously though when have i ever supported mareexaan dabo-dhilifs
name one instance where i came to the defense of an unpatriotic somali leader simply because he is mareexaan
when i say "every crook in baydhabo should be shot" don't you know that there are plenty of mareexaan men there or you think that i would want them spared
unlike you i support men of principal not isbaaro-having, minority robbing, women raping thugs like isbatoore-qeeyrdiid and co.

Kambuli, I said majority of the people occupying vacant properties are squatters. And I stand by that statement because I know that for a fact in Muqdisho. The Moroyaan and warlords only occupy strategic buildings and locations and might I add most of those warlords already had homes in the capital before the war. The moroyan work like mercenaries working from one job to the next, most of the time they donÂ’t settle in a property. They however loot and I mean to the extent of ripping off doors and windows and even bricks and cables selling them in the markets.
For example in the suburbs where we used to live, there were people from all clans. One of our neighbours was a minister who was Daadoor, ran away from his home like everyone else in the neighbourhood but never came back; his house was empty for a long time. The other minister who was Hawiye also ran away from his house like everyone else, but he sent someone to comeback to the house and get some stuff and report back on the security. He decided it wasnÂ’t safe enough for him and his family and fled the country but asked his servants who were banadiris (Bantu) to look after it. That was the case until they had another relative over and more family members of his servants who fled the war. So his house is I think currently still being occupied by the people that used to work for him and is sometimes visited by his relatives. I only found out after the war the clans of most of my neighbours including those of my relatives. But the neighbours that remained used to meet up and protect each other.
The House next to us was also vacated quick and the owners never came back. I think they were Dir or something not quite sure. Anyway, the house was empty until the war between Cali Mahdi and Caydiid started and we got lots of refugees, the house next door was finally occupied by a nice family who fled their home. The Daarood ministerÂ’s house was occupied way after by another family, I think they got the house with the help of the local mosque or maybe they were relatives of the owners, that family was a bit secretive so we never really got to know. But this was also a proper family and not moroyaan. The other houses were mainly occupied by people trusted by the owners or people found to occupy them through other neighbours that decided to stay and who still live there. Most of the houses got looted at one point or another but only one house became occupied by a moroyaan who decided to get married and settle in vacant house, he looted the furniture from three other homes in the same neighbourhood.
The number of beggars also rose dramatically and there were always people fleeing from one corner or the other who used to come to beg for a place to stay. The neighbours used to hold meeting and discuss ways to deal with the refugees and some used to house them for a little while until things settled and they could move on. There were also refugees that decided to build makeshift homes in between houses and on pavements and other privately owned land.
You see, we have to look at things logically. There is no point in saying squatters and homeless people in the capital are evil or ‘haram’ as you guys were arguing. It is a real problem which can only be solved with real solutions. The majority of the people you are referring to are in desperate need and have themselves lost their homes. Some have even built makeshift homes inside partly collapsed buildings. How do you deal with people like these? I think the major problem is likely to come from the houses that have been illegally sold two or three times. It is easy saying people should be kicked out of the homes they live in, but I say the government will have to find a real solution otherwise we would end up with a catastrophe.
The atrocities of the dictatorship regime were atrocities and no amount of evil done previous to or after the dictatorship is going to justify or compensate for what happened to innocent people. If saying that makes me somehow less genuine in pointing out the issues I have, then so be it.

Eyes,
After all this lengthy lecture, you are still wrong my Dear.
Still you can't write what happened the aftermath of Siyad Barre... Waxaad ku war wareygeysaa Cabdilaahi iyo Siyad.... My God..
Allaah magaciisa ayaan ku dhaartey eh waxaad tahay qof fog.....Sida aad iska dhigeyso iyo sida aad tahay walllee kala dheer....
Gacmahaagu ma qori kari waayeen xataa mar qudha... Khalad baa dhacay ama gef baa dhacay? My dear I was there...
It is sad that you have the same stand with this group...

I donÂ’t need to write on what happened after Siyaad Bare because that is not what this thread was based on. If I was to go into that, I would have to discuss all things from illegal waste dumping and abuse of the Somali sovereignty to the problem of rubbish piles in the capital. You specifically pointed to the issue of squatters and I replied to that. If you want to engage in qabiilist chitchat then reply to someone who is interested in that bullsh!!t. IÂ’m discussing real issues that are beyond clanist politics here. So, if you donÂ’t mind take your qabiilist butt to someone with the qabiilist disease I donÂ’t have time for people with a mental handicap.
