Why are you proud to be a SOMALI !!!

Give one reason that makes you proud to be Somali. When i say Somali i refer to it as an ETHNICITY and not CITIZEN so we can include our Somalilanders, Ethiopians, Djiboutian and Kenyan Somalis.

My reason is that Somalis are exteremely resourceful people.

cuss we are born to be warriors, who else could get rid of those puppet slaves who worked with the western countries, something that arab and islamic countries couldnt ore they are 2 afraid to start a new movement, the only thing we stay disunited is cuss of tribalism, but could you imigane who powerfull we could be today, we have proved when it comes to war nomatter if were disunited that we can stand their, their was a book written by a western guy who said that somalis arent scared of anything, who thought that after 15 years we could come out today, who thought not even the british though that we could get oure acts togheter and unite, and recapturing oure grounds

The balkanization of Somalia started in earnest when the British, the architects of most deadly conflicts raging in the world today, and its allies won the Second World War, and Somali speaking people became united under the British imperialists.

The British ruled the world by using a strategy of divide and rule. It worked for them in India, the Middle East and Africa. As part of that strategy, they chose not to unite the Somali speaking people fearing for their interests after realizing the deeply nationalistic sentiments of the Somali people. The fear of a strong nationalistic and united Somalia controlling the Strait of Bab El Mandab, through which British merchant ships passed, prompted the British to divide Somalia. They allowed the Italian fascists to rule the South again, and surrendered the Haud and Reserved areas to the historical enemies of the Somalis and the Northern Frontier district to Kenya. but even than we could come out, and who knows we could reunite and recapture oure grounds

well i hate to say it but i'm not proud to be somali.

what's there to be proud of, my country hasn't had a working government for 15 years, people are killing each other b/c of clan, and the rest of them are dying b/c of hunger and disease and no one seems to care. proud you say? far from it...go fock yourself.

I am proud to be Somali for many reasons some of them to to do with family history and one was mentioned by Basra. But right now, IÂ’m proud to be a Somali because of Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and all the other patriotic Somalis though out our history. Smile

Why did you omit your real intent of being a Somali? Wasn't sheikh, mullah shariif Indhcadde and his fellow thugs from Galgaduud that you support and associate with Islam? Tell like it is and dont hide behind Shaykh Shariif. A real Somali would care for the situation that Somalis are in and wouldn't invite coward Eritreans and Ethiopians to cause further havoc and oppression on poor Somalis.
