As we all know we are the only/one of the only clans that have Garaads/Sultans going all the way up more than 19 generations.


Here is the lineage for one of the Dhulbahante Garaad lineages




Suldaan Siciid had three sons:

Suldaan Axmed Siciid[Hayaag]
Suldaan Muuse Siciid[Most of Dhulbahante]
Yoonis Siciid

Hayaag inherited the title Suldaan from his father Siciid Harti since he was the eldest and when Axmed Siciid died the title was passed to his brother, because his children were too young to take up the title therefore Muuse Siciid became Suldan. The title Suldan should have been passed back onto Axmed Siciids offspring after Suldaan Muuse Siciid died but that never happened.


Suldaan Muuse Siciid had sons and the eldest was Cabdalle. Suldaan Cabdalle had sons such asYaxye Cabdalle, Habarwaa Cabdalle, Aadan Cabdalle etc. Since Yaxye was eldest he took on the title Suldaan and again when Suldaan Yaxye Cabdalle died his eldest child was too young to take up the title therefore his brother Habarwaa became Suldaan. Suldaan Habarwaa.

Suldaan Habarwaa had sons such as Shirshoore Habarwaa and Khalid Habarwaa. Since Shirshoore was the eldest he took on the title Suldaan latter changed to Garaad Shirshoore.

Garaad Shirshoore had sons such as Faarax, Maxamuud, Cabdi(Qayaad), etc.

Since Faarax was the eldest child, he took on the title Garaad.

Garaad Faarax Garaad Shirshoore had sons such as (Amiir) Cabdalle, Yaasiin etc

Amiir Cabdalle had three sons; Maxamed Garaad, Guuleed Garaad, Axmed Garaad(Cali Gari Axmed Garaad, Hagar Aadan Axmed Garaad, Wacays Aadan Axmed Garaad, Samakaab Axmed Garaad etc) etc.

Amiir Cabdalle died young and his dad (Garaad Faarax Garaad Shirshoore) was still alive. When Garaad Faarax Garaad Shirshoore died the title Garaad was passed to his middle son Yaasiin. When Garaad Yaasiin died the title was passed back to Amiir Cabdalles eldest son (Maxamed Garaad).

This is the new Bahararsame Garaads lineage although couple of names are missing in between.
