The Iraqis don't understand justice. They would have killed those guys when, in fact, they did not do anything that was a capital offense - even acording to the primative standards of Muslims.
"Iraqis would prefer Saddams rule over what they have today, so please stop talking about Saddam Hussien. He is not charge of the country right know, your maniac government is and they have destroyed Iraq instead of bringing their promised democracy. I guess their democracy was about rape, pillage and steal Iraqis oil....sounds allot like Ghenghis Khans promised democracy in Iraq..."
That's not the point. You are arguing that every individual mideed is the equivelent of US policy, and it's not. Flawed argument. As usual. Don't expect logic or reason from Muslims, because you won't get it.

Mad Mac if we muslims are primitive than what the fuck are you doing in Somali forum?
US policy fucked up a peaceful country in Iraq and turned it into one of the most violent countries in the region.

" AA-Again where does it say to mistreat them? "
Forcefully taking women as sex slaves for life (or until such time her master releases her) against their will is mistreatment and psychological torture of the highest degree.
" You are comparing women captured in a war to 14 year old being gang-raped, her family killed and then set on fire. "
I made no such comparison, your inability to produce a quotation proves that.
Further more, that sex slaves referrs to those captured in war (presumably the battle field) is false and a flat out lie for women seldom participated in battles. Non-Muslim women are to be taken forcefully from their places of abode to act as slaves of the Muslim fighter- that is repulsive and an abomination. It is sufficient condemnation of Islam and ample proof of Islam's incompatibilty with human rights.

"US policy **** up a peaceful country in Iraq and turned it into one of the most violent countries in the region."
I would not have said it was a "peaceful country", and if you want to criticize the policy, get in line. But don't pretend there is a correlation to these rapes and US policy, because there isn't.
being more peaceful doesn't mean it was peaceful. And it would be hard to shed a tear concerning the departure of Saddam.
I have no sympathy for Saddam and I think the Iraqi people could have overthrown him if America never put sanctions on the country and supported the resistance with arms.

I agree it's very sad, and the soldiers involved ought to be prosecuted, but its nothing to do with democracy babes. Democracy is concerned not with raping 14 year olds, but choosing your desired government.
But tell me Gacalisa, you come across as an intelligent gal, what's your take on Islam sanctioning slavery of non-muslim women in times of war to be used for sex? Do you think that's morally acceptable?

"wallahi this is terribly sad, there are so many military cases going on in Iraq, rape after rape, killing after killing, "
You make it sound like US troops are running rampant. Islamists are killing innocent after innocent, committing the most attrocious crimes, and narry a word. But a few troops commit one crime and everyone is talking about it.

That's to our credit. That we're willing to hold our own (at least junior soldiers) to account says something about liberal democracy (though there's a few other war criminals I'd like to see in the dock). We expect and hold our soldiers to a higher level of conduct than others. We ought to be proud of our record of transparency and accountability.
When war crimes come to light, we prosecute them.

MAD, I'm afraid many of the folks here are not ameanable to reason. Everything is blown out of all proportion. To them everything is black and white; there is no middle path: you're either with us or against us.
My opposition to the war is no secret, yet some ignorant fellow accuses me of condoning rape, when in actual fact it is his twisted religion which sanctions rape of non-Muslims.
It really is unfortunate the level of ignorance of some of these folks.
