I am a gaal, and a Kafir. I have never denied being either.

What I do deny is that I have ever attempted to proselitize anyone. I taught English in Somalia rather than go on a Church mission.

The fact of the matter is that in Somalia I had no ability to communicate with the local Gosha people, and the Somalis I interacted with on a daily basis were Muslim, but not of a particularly rigorous bent. Religion was not something we tossed around a lot as I didn't have that much interest at that time either.

As for here, I don't regard an honest attempt to answer a question as proselytizing. You will please notice that what I posted on this board was personal information, and a link to an outside quasi-religious site. In any event, it is just silly to think that information on another religion insults yours.

The Lord sent multiple prophets to multiple peoples. I do not find it strange that there are multiple ways to God.

I have long since accepted the Islamic interpretation of Issa. That does not make me a Muslim or someone who wishes to participate in congregational worship. Please keep in mind that I am in my Sixties, and quite set in my ways.

Still, I find Murad highly intellectually stimulating, and I am intrigued that at least one Somali does too. I am serious in wanting to see other Somali comments on that article. It looks to me like a possible way forward.
