You can do this with any country. If I did an interview with five Somalis at random on the streets of Wanle Weye, and asked them "who's the vice pressident of Djibouti?" or "What's the capital Ertirea?" most would give the same inane answers.
President of the tiny one bedroom Djibouti Ismail Omar

The Capital city of Nobody Eritrea Asmar...

MadCow atleast if you want to rule the World, invading every country that opposes you the least the American government could do is teach their people basic geography....like were Canada is, the capital city of Canada, where France is, Where Iraq is, Where North Korea is....and elect a president that knows the name of the prime minister of its closest neighbor( Canada)...Jean Chretien not Jean Belushean.. Just to add my opinion on this topic. I have observed that most short comings of Americans is due to their long hours of work. For example, here in Britain we get atleast 24 days holidays. However , I heard people in America only get 11 days.

Also, my assumption fits very well with the gap between Germans and British. The Germans have more holidays, get paid more than the British and they work almost 40% less than the British.

This gives German people more chances of utilising their time to study and discover unlike the British and Americans I know of.

I agree Americans work longer hours than other Western countries, mostly due to the fact that America is run by a bunch of coporations. Did you know that Wal Mart is the biggest employer in the U.S. and has around 2 million employees?

But, I think Americans' ignorance is due to the fact that this country is a continent all in its own. They don't really have any interest in other countries, only in each other.
