Should "Somali" name be changed to integrate Butla

I never thought of this until I heard it today from an angry old man who was upset at what happened to the control of Kismayo.

He said "Somali" is tribal name of Irir Samaale, and thats why he likes his country Butland than Somalia. He does not want to have anything to do with "Somali".

I always ondered why we called our country Somaliland, and they called theirs this funny name Butlaan.

Because that is the regions historical name. That is what the ancient Egyptians use to call it, it means: Land of the Gods. The historical significance of the area and the name is available on google.

Lakiin, if I had to give a suggestion I would change "Somalia" to, Xabaasha. It's just one big graveyard, and along with the dead bodies it appears what was left of the Hutu maskax waa la aasay.
