i came across this interesting site on the net. i always heard about somali slavery but this dude wrote a thesis on it.
i didn't think bantu's were somali's....i mean everyone i know belongs to one of the big three tribes or maybe 5 if u include gadabursi and ise, lol.

"Today, the Bantu in Somalia again exist in a state someplace between sharecropping and slavery. Here is how Cassanelli describes the situation:
The war is now concentrated in key resource areas of the south, which are largely, although not exclusively, inhabited by minorities. While planting and harvesting have resumed in many districts of the south, the larger economy is one based on extortion of surpluses from the unarmed to the armed. Because no social contract based on clan affiliation exists between the occupying forces and the villagers, there is no assurance that benefits in the form of relief aid will reach the villagers themselves. "

That's what the Bantus claim. Yaa ku shaqqysanaya oo raba? They said they were enslaved in Somalia so that they can get sympathy from the non-Somalis. Seriously, when most of them started coming to the states last year, they never claimed to be Somali. Guryaha banaankood, albaabada hortooda markeey ku xaareen oo dadkii xaafada dagnaa ey isugu tageen eey dileen because of aanshax xumada eey sameeyen, that's when they started crying "Yaa Somali ah!!!". Waxey ogaadeen ineey Somalidu is help'gareeyan.
They knew their weakness, markeey Somalia joogeen. They never participated in the community service, they never attended schools, and they were isolating themselves. Yeey ka filanaayen ineey dhahaan "Soo baxa school dhigta" After all, qofwalba cunugiisa ayuu school geysanaaye. They need to blame wixii dhalay asalkooda.
It's not only them, many people started claiming they weren't Somalis.. But guess what? Now they wanna act like Somalis and claim Somalis after no one else would help them out and get them out of their dhibaato. These people are halarious! If they don't wanna be Somalis, mey dal iyo magac iyo calan ha sameystan ee ha guuraan.

i don't believe it. the bantu's only got shipped there recently and instead of making them feel welcome and sharing ur own refugee stories(yes, u were all refs once, even L-heart) u cary on treating them like u did in somlaia.
guess what, they don't need u. they got uncle sam now.
