I need legal advice
I have an warrant out for my arrest and this warrant was issued over 5 years ago. I was not aware of it until now when I got let go of my job for failing to report my criminal background.
So what should I do saaxibyaal? Turn myself in or get a lawyer to find me a way to go court and prove my innocence there.

I don't see anything funny Nabeela. You are turning into a little monster. From now on I will call you Basra junior, how is that for a name.
Michael Ital, that is what I am thinking of doing. However I am not even sure what I am wanted for you know since it has been so long since I have done anything illegal. What is interesting about this whole is that in the last 5 years, I have been stopped multiple times by cops and they have never brought up anything about an arrest warrant. I guess some people are not doing their jobs properly.

What state do you live in? In most states, 5 years is the legal statue of limitation. Meaning, if you commit a crime a claim has to be filed within a certain period of time. Generally speaking, a claim/case can't legally be filled unless you (the defendent) are present. Also, the statue differs depending on what kind of crime you commit.
Also, you cannot go to a public defender, the only take cases that are active, ie: have been filled.
You have to pay for your own lawyer.
But yes, take the advice and get a lawyer. If the you didn't commit a felony you should be okay, you'll most likely be ordered to pay a restitution of some sort and probation/community service. By the way, I seriously you hope you're a US citizen..because if you are not this will absolutely hold up your process. The INS won't look twice at you unless your case is resolved. Lastly, don't worry again depending on your state you can get it expunged off of your record eventually.
Good Luck Lion. Im sorry dude.

I had no idea about this wallahi. I guess I am not as familiar with the law as I thought I was. Thanks a bunch for the advice Hannah.
My offense is auto theft. I hot wired a skooter.
No I am kidding, I have no idea what my offense is as of yet. It is probably got something to do with distributing narcotics.
