Yeah, he's a Star Wars fan, the first trilogy came out when he was 8. He seems Yoda et al. in the same way many people view the Buddha or Jesus. Only most Buddhists I know poke fun at themselves a bit.

LOL, gurey you sound like a missionary. Compared to written SF, Star Wars is pretty bad, but as movies went it's not so bad surely? It's all either lowest-common-denominator crap or incomprehensible overblown crap (I'm thinking 2001: A Space Oddysey)

2001-space odessy was a bit wierd, but the wierdness came from Satnley kubrik, not Arthur C clark, i liked it though, i am a sucker for incomrehensible crap.
