You have the right to marry whom you choose. That being said, most Somalis that choose to marry outside their race, actually marry useless individuals that have been rejected by their familes and society at large. There is nothing wrong with marryin say a Muslim, white guy who happens to be a doctor. But most Somalis marry toothless "John", who just came out of the trailer.....etc. Basically let's just say he betta be worth leavin ur people 4!

I don't understand. Why would you have to leave your people? Shouldn't your people (family) be open to accepting who you choose regardless of race, creed, color, nationality or religious denomination?

why is it that people think its only somalians who do not liek to mary into another culture or tribe

dude, every nationality and culture is like that. Italians, Greeks, Portuguese, Mexicans, whoever....you name it its tha same.

There is no law that states that a somali has to marry a person who is muslim. Its tradition. There's a difference.

What is clear is that went you decide to migrate to USA, Canada, UK, Sweden, Holland, Norway or any other western european nation, you are no longer amongst your own people which means you have to assimilate with other races in that nation. That doesn't mean that you have to necessarily marry a foreigner, but it means that sometimes people will go outside their own. You cannot expect to have it your way all the time.
