Just an off question, is it me or does it seem like suicide is high among Somalis in Europe than North America?

This is probably the 2nd Somali suicide I've ever heard of. And I was born here.

Maybe others have heard or know about more but to me its very very very rare that a Somali person committs suicide.

London in particular and especial among mens in the east end of london seem to have a tendency to jump in front of the train.

This is the third suicide i've heard off so far, 1 male with family and 2 girls.

there has been plenty of siucide in london amongst somali men, but sometimes even somalis that may have been trowned into the tracks is claimed to have been a suicide.


there is this relative of mine that was killed in the tracks in north london but up to now no one knows if done it himself or someone else puched him.

Been, I don't recall the particulars, but I have heard of more than handful suicide cases from UK, Italy, and Sweden over the years.

Biko, does qaat result in depression? Never heard of that before...

not qaad per say but the abuse of qaad combined with another (undercover-balwad) causes depresion, paranoia iyo wax hore lo arag loona maqal.

I wonder what pissed her off so much that made her commit suicide. Either way, there is no excuse in the book that allows you to kill yourself. My condolences go out to her family.

I blame the parents because the day the girl cummited siucide she asked her mother if she could follow her to school that day and guess what the mother was busy and said no maybe i will do that tomrrow .......You know nothing ee iska aamus nacala beenalaha aad tahy kugu yaale...Wax kasta waa qadar laakin soomaalido badankoodo they dont give a shit about their kids....she could't even give her a few minuts of her time.

But I have a question for folks in London: Isn't there a girl who killed herself by throwing herself off of her building? Maybe last Saturday? Or this is the same one?

Kambuli, they're two seperate incidents.
Just last week i've heard about another one where a girl killed herself, i dont know if she threw herself out of a building.
