My Owoowayaal, my dad, my uncles all have had at least three wifes, and It would be a shame if i break the trend.

I'd probably marry one in the states, then go back home and marry another one in Somalia and keep her there and send her money. I don't think the one in the States would b1tch and moan about it since I will only see the one in Somalia for just two months a year.

After I turn 45, I'd retire back home and marry another one, that's of course if Allah permits

Enlightened~Sista:- You can make it clear in your marriage contract that you don't welcome that idea, therefore you have the right to ask for a divorce, and he has to grant you a divorce if he refuses you can present the case to the Islamic Court. You can discuss all this before you get married - there won't be any surprises then.

I wouldn't mind if my husband decided to have a second wife - If he has the means to provide for two families, I think I'd even encourage him to take a second wife. I can see the wisdom in polygamy - it was legislated by Allah (swt) for a reason. It's not to dishonor women, or give men full control to act out their desires. It actually comes with strict conditions which men have to observe. Polygamy is not even the rule, it's an exception. It protects & honors women, it's also realistic, given that women outnumber men. There are many sisters out there who don't have husbands, or sisters who've lost their husbands & are left with orphans. What happened to wanting for our brothers/sisters what we desire for ourselves? They deserve love & happiness as well. It could be any of us sisters here in that situation, imagine being a widow with orphans, or being single & childless? There's much wisdom behind polygamy when practiced in the correct way.

By far the best answer, the other girls sound like ghetto azz Kamisha and Shaneyney with their attitude.

For those sisters that have issues with polygamy and come with attitudes such as, "Theres no way am sharing my husband" ,
I have a question for you. Are you better than Aisha (RA)? or the rest of the Umul-mu'mineen.
Sisters these Noble women should be your role models.

For the brothers if you marry more than 1 you have to be Just in everything between the wives.
MJ, akhi its not Just for you to spend 10 mths with 1 and 2 mths with the other.
Taking more than 1 wife is more responsibility and you have to give each their due rights.
Our role model should be the Prophet (saw) and then his Sahaaba radiyallahu ajma'een
