Irk, I suggest you take a painstaking review of "eastern Sanag" label. It was coined by Isaqland to squeeze the vastly expansive Warsangali land and create contraversy over its control in order to confuse the outside world.
The region of Sanag is made up Five major districts--4 of which are predominantly Warsan territory besides uncountable #s of villages and rural grazing areas, wells and tributaries from Golis mointains.
This region which also constitute 33.9% of former British Somaliland's political map use to fall under the domain of Sultanate Ali Shire Mohamed, from the long line of the descendents of our noble Geradship.
What would the use of "eastern Sanag" accomplish for our enemies?
- It shrinks your territory
- It creates confusion and
- contraversy
- Drastically reduces your political rights
- Produces similar claims as a counterweight to a majority rule claim. (Like west, south, North etc)
- Equates smaller and irrelevant Iidoor sub-clans with Warsangeli(just read Burton and Speke's historic exploration of Sanag)
All in all, it's essential for the young to learn and advance their history and land and develop its economies while paying respect to Somalia overall.
Warsangali are spread out and live across regional borders.
Western Bari--over 20 settlements, Bossaso being its principal commercial base sharing with the predominant Majerten.
South: Kismaayo, Buula xaaji, Xaliimo cadey, qooqaani, cabdale biroole, Raaxoole and many others.
