Add the Hawks and Jazz to that list although I think the Spurs will fight back on the next game. Jazz really blew it tonight cause they could have won that game, but the Hawks are just an embarrassment really.

I think you're right, the Jazz and the Hawks are gonna be history instead of making history. The Jazz have no answer for the Laker bigs (including Odom who had some monster games off the bench), and the Hawks have no answer for the entire Orlando Magic roster

About the Spurs/Suns series, I'm still holding my breath. If there's any team that can come back from down 0-3, it's San Antonio. And if there's any team they can do it against, it's Phoenix (given the recent playoff history between the two in the last decade).

How true is that...I had that exact thought at the end of the game on Friday. What I don't understand is how a guy as soft as Gasol has turned into an offensive rebounding monster. I remember when they lost to Boston in the finals and how he used to shy away from contact. The Jazz really let themselves down at the end there . Another thing that I didn't get was Lebron still being in the game in the 4th Q when the game was well out of hand...If I was Doc River, I'd feel insulted, hopefully Boston can come back with a better showing this afternoon.

I'm proud of the Boston Celctics, the big three really performed today especially Paul pierce who has been struggling the whole series. I'm very happy that they slapped the Cleveland Fagaliers because this shows how much of a choke artist Lebron James is, Doc rivers really put in work, he knew they would concentrate on Rajon Rondo and he exploited the Cavaliers because of this weakness. I hope Boston close this out at home, also Big baby played well

Lebron James really struggled but I'm gonna stay true to myself and blame the coach...He shouldn't have sat O'Neal in the fourth quarter of last game, If this turns out to be their last home game, he won't be too far behind Lebron James.

This has turned into the year of the spoilers. San Antonio spoiled it for Dallas while the Suns did to them...Utah focked it up for Denver only to get swept by the Lake Show and if the celts go on to meet Orlando, they're as good as done...the end result, another title for the Lakers

Wow.

In game 3, Cleveland gave Boston their worst home loss in playoff history. In game 5 today, Boston gave Cleveland their worst home loss in playoff history. This has become an unpredictable series, with each team splitting at home and on the road for the first four games. Which is why I'm not ruling Cleveland out yet...cuz that's too typical to happen, the way this series is going.

Skippa, you don't think Orlando has a chance against LA if there's a Final's rematch?

if Orlando's playing anything like they are right now, they stand a very good chance of beating the lakers. I'll certainly be pulling for them, only they won't be playing at this level against L.A. All those threes won't be going in, Pietrus and Barnes will be called for stupid fouls in defending Kobe, they'll forget about going inside to Dwight Howard, Vince Carter's allergy to body contact will resurface...I really hope I'm wrong though

I really hope so too. But I think it'll be different this year...Orlando is playing a lot more consistently down the stretch, and they had 8 players score 66 or more 3's in the season, which is bananas. They not only just swept the #3 seed in the East, but dismantled them by outscoring Atlanta by more than 100 points over 4 quick games. I really think this could be their year and they're a much better team than last year...Jameer Nelson's back to form and isn't trying to shrug off a shoulder injury like he was last June, they made some key additions with Barnes' defensive pressure, Jason Williams' experience with a championship in Miami and filling out the role of the backup PG position, and of course, Vince Carter being able to become that second scoring option who draws defenders when he heats up which allows him to create plays for other guys and get them involved. Most importantly, they got the monkey off their back by making it to the Finals last year, and are more experienced and composed for it.

I just hope Bynum's knee injury/torn meniscus takes a drastic turn for the worse and his leg gets amputated...Istaqfurullah .

The Lakers are going to win it all.

They are a matchup nightmare for Orlando, even if Bynum is only at 50%... they don't got anyone at the 4 to guard him or Gasol. Dwight Howard is left by himself down there. And for the Lakers, its all about if these niccaz is hungry enough, if they stay hungry no one is beating them.

People are sicing the Suns, but this Suns team isn't as good as the Denver team LAL beat in the WCF last year, I really thought Denver had a shot to beat LAL last year.

As for Cleveland, stick a fork in 'em. Boston is the better team and this series should have been over. We all know Boston gave away Game 1.

Cleveland sucks, Lechoke James failed to deliver once again in the playoffs and he is planning to leave Cavs after this season for bigger market, many predict he is going to NY Knicks.

Dejavu all over again

Skippa,

Stop the vince bashing, will you!

I get my money on the Magic.

Last year they were pretenders but this year with Vince, they are the really deal. They’re as good as anyone in every position. They remind me of the Piston’s championship team that beat the Lakers few years back.
heir confidence level is off the chart. They are playing well balance ball in both ends of the floor. They have a great inside presents in Howard. Their point guard has attack mentality and their wings are starching the floor to hit the open shots. The Vince factor also changed the dynamics of that team. He’s finally playing the support role he was meant for. Vince was never a leader to carry a team but rather a great athlete that can do so many things on the floor. He’s not tentative nor is he forcing the issue. He found his calling with the Magic. I think they gonna win it all.
