I think i am partially responsible for causing this thread to go off topic.

Oh well but here is a list from another forum about the topic. Alot of them not mentioned.

They are somali, Dir and of the oldest somali lineage...

I see they have not yet been fully assimilated by the Borg. I mean Ilma Ormo.

Are you going to claim Gurgura now as well?

Gurey,
Oromos has never been expansionist, quite the opposite.
Oromo become big population wise because at a time, all the opressed tribes
of the area, prefered being Oromo than lo'ijir, midigan, Boon, Baantu etc...

As for Akichu, even those living in Somaliland do have Oromo clan names: warra miyo, warra bito, warra dayo etc...
check this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akisho_(clan)
The quiet few I met in Oromo lands do consider themselves as Oromo.
As for Gurgura, even at the height of their uber somali claim, they had warm hearted relation with AQ.

For me the Dir Somali tribe classification is confusing, some even consider qalloo as dir man

Gara Man,
in oromo tradition there is sharp difference between Angafa (elder as in first born) and Jaarsa (old);
hint: think of Jaarso's domain of speciality in AQ 8-)
B.

All nomadic pastoralist people are expanionist to some extent. In only depends how quick you are too break agreements with rivals(if any) or their enjoyment of murder or death.

For oromo geneology,I rest my case and will leave it up to oromo scholars like bareento. :D

Yep, you can stop at there since you asked for a general, not "generals".
