granpa: secularism is a handy tool when citizens have different religions that cannot be accommodated equally. It is a system that works. This system becomes necessary even in countries where people have different interpretations of the same religion. A good example is that in Somalia today. Most warlords, even the president have the "Sheik" prefix in their names and they all tell us they are dying for the word of God while they kill each other and everything on their way. How can you solve such a problem. Let's say Somalia decides to take Sharia law. Well, whose sharia? The shababi one? Sheik Sharifi's secularized one? Ahlusuna's Qadiria doctrine? Wouldn't it be nice to sit together and come up with a solution that can accommodate every sect? That's what's called secular (common interest regardless of believes).grandpakhalif wrote:Many people on this site claim to be 'secular muslims' and I was quite annoyed by their assertion that Islam and governance are completely separate.

That's only for where other religions are concerned.Islam has always catered for the needs of other faiths.secularism is a handy tool when citizens have different religions that cannot be accommodated equally.
It's the only religion on earth that allows for the co-excistance of other faiths. If Christianity was the tool of governance In the West there is no way that we'd have mosques or synagogues.

Look at this munaafiq. Diin waxaad ka ogtahay ma lahan ee shaqadaada ku har. Horny boob who spends 90% of his time insulting & belitting Somali women. Did your 15 year old wife leave you, man? Maxaad sidaan ugu maseersantahay? Man up and stop pretending to be something you're clearly not, you're a jaahil fara waaween. Muslims live by setting an example, not by talking shit like this:burhaan2010 wrote:diinta ma ahan kastuumo markaad rabtid xiran kartid. kuwan secular gaal isku mood like halfdazed, dryalaxow, blackvelvet gaalada ba way ka daranyihiin.
islam is way of life n sharicatul islam is our law, everything we do is told to us by allah(swt) in the quran and hadith.

That's because the radical Christians have been put in place, like the radical Muslims will be too. Too bad the two fringe groups couldn't be allowed to slaughter themselves and not use the sensible majorities as human shields. Do you honestly think Al Shabab would "cater for the needs of other faiths" ? What an absolutely retarded statement. They won't even tolerate other Muslims, forget anyone else.seemeyer wrote:That's only for where other religions are concerned.Islam has always catered for the needs of other faiths.secularism is a handy tool when citizens have different religions that cannot be accommodated equally.

Nothing at all to do with Christian radicalism,.Mainstream Christianity wouldn't have allowed it either. It came simply because of the seperation of church and state. The birth of seclurism was the reason. That's because the radical Christians have been put in place,
Your the retard here dumbo,my statement still stands "Islam is the only religion that allows for the existance of other faiths alongside itself."
Now unless you can prove otherwise stop talking shit about Al-Shishkebab and radical this or that snd gtfo Uncle Tom

Aren't mainstream Christians the ones always marching with Muslims to allow the buildings of Mosques, hijab rights, etc?seemeyer wrote:Nothing at all to do with Christian radicalism,.Mainstream Christianity wouldn't have allowed it either. It came simply because of the seperation of church and state. The birth of seclurism was the reason. That's because the radical Christians have been put in place,

Re: Busting the myth of secular islam
I dont see whats the big deal..
Shareeca is the natural law, gods manual provided for his manufactured product us.
We should ofcourse live by the manual becuase it is from the creator.
now the problem is how do we interpret this law into the various cultures and environments of the muslim lands?
People in the past did not struggle with this problem, we do becuase we have been all westernized and confused, even todays extremist religous scholars are unwittingly westernized.
People in the past did not find a conflict between secular and religous , the west did and they dealt with the problems of christianity and modernity by rejecting religion and limiting the power of the church.
Once they did that they progressed.
They then conquered our lands and then our minds and exported their reasoning and thinking to us.
when alkhawarizmi was studying the science of maths, he was also a haafith like all muslims scholars and men of science and he also studied hadiith and tafsiir.. The concept of secular knowledge and religous knowledge did not exist in islam it is a totaly alien product.
Now as somalis we did not have this conflict as well, we were nomads and had our own natural laws that evolved with us through thousands of years our xeer. When we becuase muslims the laws that conflicted with Shreeca were thrown out but most of them were kept. Shareeca was then assimilated into our laws.
If you say that they didnt follow the shreeca , are you also saying that your muslim forefathers were all kufaar.??

Re: Busting the myth of secular islam
Let me add this strange fact.
Isreal from its creation untill 1980 used the Ottoman law as the basis for its laws..
Now consider this, Ottoman law was entirely shareeca from top to bottom, from commercial law to family law and it was the only place in the world practicing shreeca as every other muslim country was under european occupation and under European Law.
If shareeca is so primitive anti-modern and alien why would a secular state like Isreal base its laws on it .???
