They are only peaceful when they are in the minority, if current trends continue they will become a majority group in certain regions. When this happens, you will see their true colors (e.g. Rwanda genocide and the like).

Do you have any solid proof backing this claim?

Would like to say thanks to all the replies and am kind of shocked of all the healthy comments. I come from dire dawa and lived and grew right next to somalis, so the somali perspective is nothing new and have been to complete somalis cities before. So telling the truth of what you think of Oromos will not put me in cardiac arrest(Living) .

You see the thing is I asked the later part of my question fully knowing the situation that there in somaliland with oromo migrating there and living there. As bareento said Oromo have been migrating to northern somali-lands for quite some time now. This nothing new. But now somalis are somewhat disliking this immirgation due to 2 things imo
1.most oromos now immirgating are from the poorest of the poor in society. So they are brought up without education and pocess hardly any skills. Since places like somaliland in cites like hargeisa where 70% of people are unemployed already it makes no sense unskilled oromos will find jobs either s they exist jobless there
2. the level or oromo migrating there are increasing

One problem i have with this is that image being portrayed that ALL the Oromo Immigrants are economical and that they immigrant because of their social status not because they are force to. Generally speaking it is wrong to believe such a thing. People really dont know what every person has gone through so when they say all oromos are economic immigrants they are basically fabricating the truth and lying.

heres one example

Image
Moktar Cadre, a 37-year-old Oromo farmer, shows the scars he received after Ethiopian police set fire to his home in Oromia province. After fleeing to neighboring Somaliland, he was granted asylum in Canada.

Are you speaking out of your arse, what the hell do you know about the Bantu population in the North East? have you compiled some data about their numbers? its easily visible that there are now thousands of Bantus of these people now living in the place. Dumbass.
Somalia's population is approximately 10 million. There are about 6 million South Somalis (below Gaalkacyo). According to recent estimates the Bantu population of Somalia makes up 15%, almost all live in the South.

That’s 1.5 million Bantus out of 6 million inhabitants of South Somalia, therefore 1 out every 4 South Somalis is a Bantu.

Accept your fate as a new Bantustan.
^ Somali bigots amuse me.

A Somali Bantu is just as Somali as I am. Same language, same faith, same skin colour, same culture etc.

I'd rather live amongst a peaceful Somali Bantu than a bigot like you.

I hope Oromos & other ethnic groups migrate into Somalia in their droves, breed with Somali women/men, and within 5-6 generations no one will be a full ethnic Somali. Our DNA will be a mixture of many ethnicities.

Well we don't work together as a homogeneous population anyways, so might as well be mixed.
