Messenger of Allah () said: “I have been ordered to fight against the people until they testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establish the prayer and give the zakah. Then, if they do that, their blood and wealth will be protected from me – except in accordance with the right of Islam. And their reckoning will be with Allah, the Exalted”

It was narrated by Ibn Umar, Abu Huraira, Jabir Ibn Abdullah, Anas bin Malik, Jareer ibn Abdullah, Aus ibn Abu Aus, ibn Abbaas, Sahl ibn Saad, al-Numaan ibn Basheer, Tariq ibn Ashyam, Abu Bakrah, Muadh bin Jabal and Samura bin Jundub.
Thus, the hadith is Mutawatir, the absolute strongest form of Hadith.

Wallahi I laugh when those who claim Islam=Peace with the kuffar

You know what they will say..xadiiskaas waa khurafaad. This is the way they get out of it all. But the prophet's words saws will ring true for those who believe. I tried explaining once, that the concept of continuous peace with Unislamic states does not exist in Islam. There is only temporary peace deals, followed by assault untill they are subjected. He was shocked, and called me an extremist. I said this is any classic fiqh work.

Wallahi you are right akhi, to be honest I never stumbled upon these hadiths or hear about them in xalaqaats, khutbahs and lessons. Why is the muslim ummah so ignorant of these basic fundamental facts (whom I was part of before). The West has succeeded in temporarily shelving these hadiths from the mainstream muslims.

Speak of of Nabeela, I think this is something she needs to look closely at, with a mod with mod access trying to discredit by lying. :|

Grandpa there is a reason you did not stumble upon these hadiths until thanks to a little known thing called the interent. For someone who is feels that this site is so unislamic and contrary to what you stand for, you and melo sure spend a lot of time on here. If you were to die now, what has s'net benefited you other than a waste of precious time, you seem to run towards hadiths that pertain to fighting while you stay away from hadiths that say if you have nothing good to say best not to speak, spend your day to things that benefit you, stay away from people who distract you from the remembrance of Illahay, do not engage in things that do not concern you. Yet, you make clear apostation of people you have never met before, when the sahaba did not ever apostatize the munafiqeen and bar them from the masjid. A kafir is truly someone who dies in a state of disbelief, and as you are still alive and they are still alive, how can you make such bold assertions? Did not the prophet say no those make takfir on someone thus make takfir on themselves? Are you a qadi or a khalif who has brought someone in front of a tribunal to openly make their state known, have you put up life and death in front of them whether they should repent or continue in disbelief? :|
