Re: these words in Somali ?
This is how I explained it earlier (and some people on here are saying qoonsasho is when sone food makes you unwell):
To notice/note/realise/question/think something, particularly something that you think is suspiscious. i.e. waxbaan qoonsaday e.g. waxan qoonsaday that person always cut the conversation short ? ... tolow maxay/muxuu uga jeedaa. I have noticed/questioned something. That is the best way I can explain it.[/quote]
well maybe it can be used in other context but as far I know it means something in order like : offense. Her is little part from a maaso called qab-iil.:
Ilaah qadarkiisa
Dadkii muslin qaatay
Islaamnimo qeexay
Hadaan kala qoolo
Intaan kala qaybsho
Hadaan qayb amaano
Kuwii kale qoonso
here as I see it means to offend.

markaan subciyo oo an kala saaro= when I analyze this (but I think it's only used in literature)

this is not what I will use cause no one will understand it, but that's how I heard it.
stare= hm I guess there are several words one can use.
but eegid/fiiris = why are u staring at me= maxaad iga eegaysa/fiirinaysa
