Even if these poor athletes were on drug's I'd doubt they would win. The aim of them being in the Olympics was for them to be used as PR against Al-Shabab. The theory goes these two would perform so badly that people would feel sorry for them and at the same time angry at al-shabab for not allowing them to train, over looking the fact that even without al-shabab and them training in Kenya. They would still lose.

She did what she could. Anybody who has seen the videos of where this girl lives and where she "trained" will know her participating is already something to celebrate.

My really concern is the shady outfit called the "Somali Olympic Committee". What is this group? What qualificiations do the members have? How did they do qualifications and how did they pick country reresentatives. Obviously just from the fact they put this girl in 400 m is enough to say they should be fired.

We talk too much. The international community has made grants available to assist those who do not have the financial means to train or prepare for these games. Scholarships are offered a year in advance. Lack of facilities and the Shabab factor would have given these two young people or even more a year of proper preparation as opposed to what just occurred...

Faaraxoos, she wasn't disadvantage...she seemed back because of the placement but she was in the inside and it was the same as all of them starting at the same spot. They all have to hold their positions until the median ends by that time they are the same distance from starting and that's when they can mix. So it was very fair.
