halla halla halla

It is just amazing to witness history in the making...
modmozali, very wise and I agree completely. I have hope and faith that a new Egypt has a real chance now, so far the moustache has shown more maturity than the beard.

Quite unbelievable indeed. 8-)

Morsi supporters in Cairo declare that they will commit suicide bombings against crowds of opposition, unveiled women, Christians, secular and liberal people if Morsi is not back. They said we will blow all the people who opposed the "democratically-elected" president. His supporters in Sinai declare establishing a war-council to fight the "infidel" army and police forces of Egypt.
The world doesn't see what is actually happening in Egypt. There is an information gap between what happens in the street and what is published in international media.
I think we need volunteers to translate the videos of pro-Morsi protesters and spread them all over the world. Can anyone do this?

They should cool down the situation. Egypt is already poor country, lets not add violence to that.
May Allah preserve Egypt.

Yohannes,

I think I misspoke, its rather the war of beards and non-beards

Both institutions have their good and bad but definitely being funded by a billion dollar plus a year will help a lot. Who is mature of the two? It's quite early to say that. What the army did was nothing but a pay back time for what the Morsi government did when they send their Papa Noel home , I mean when the great General Tantawi was forced to retire.

Tell me, was Haile Selassie killed by poison?

No worries, moustaches works fine as well :D

It's pretty clear the military has more leverage, and have been sabotaging MB which I can't say I'm against. If MB did anything good, it was getting Tantawi out of the spotlight, he was too powerful a man. He reminds me a lot of a transitional head-of-state and similarly highly-decorated general we had in Ethiopia after the Imperial era.

It is not clear how HIM Janhoy died, some say he was poisoned, some say he was suffocated at the hands of Comrade Mengistu Haile Mariam himself, there are a lot of apocryphal conspiracy stories. The official line and records show he died following a surgery.

With regards to the situation in Egypt and the fanning of sectarian flames, there is a timely proverb of Janhoy's in Amharic that went like "ager ye geranew, haimanot ye gilnew" meaning that country is common, but faith is private. MB should heed HIM's wise words and stop their division of peoples based on religious lines, it will destroy Egyptian society.

Rastafari said that, interesting.

Anyhow, as a student in the conspiracy theory school of thought, it is likely that he was murdered. King Farouk was murdered in Italy even though he left peacefully, King Faisal of Iraq was butchered along with his family...and who did that? army officers...

And I wonder if the assassination of president Sharmarke of the Somali Republic back in 1969 had other angles that was intentionally neglected. Esp. that there was an attempt on his life a year before his death and then a week after his death the army took over!!!

I do not know but living in Egypt...made me dislike men with guns.

Tomorrow starts our holy month of Ramadan, enjoy your stay in Somnet, salaam.

Islam is not against elections, it's a sort of modern Mubaayaca.

anyone who was following Egyptian media, remnants of Mubarak regime and his loyalists, and some gulf states behavior, ever since the day Morsi was elected will know the magnitude of the conspiracy that took place. Morsi's 12 months in office and his policies has hardly anything to do with his ouster.

The army is reaping the fruits for its betrayal.

Sure, it's probable that's what happened.

Entropy caused by men with guns is never good, imo.

Ramadan kareem and thanks again for the warm welcome, selam.
