Likewise we saved you in South Somalia during the civil war and we once again defeated you in battle last year. You can use Kenya as an excuse as much as you want but we will see the end result when they leave the city.
And this time you won't have HG to protect you![]()

The Kenyan army command will leave Kismayo "soon," said Col. Willy Wesonga. Sierra Leonean troops will replace Kenyan forces that will move to the Gedo region, he said. Only small Kenyan units will remain in Kismayo, Wesonga said.

Basically J/Land is in the sphere of Kenyan influence, and the new three province SW State will be with the Ethiopians.
Bermooda....what will happen if Ethiopia does a kenya with the SW state?
What can the Govt in Xamar do?

Re: Kenya is being replaced from Kismayo.
Kenya operates from Ceelwaaq to Baardheere already with SNA and Ethiopia has been operating in the northern Gedo districts. They are withdrawing from Kismaayo but still remain under AMISOM, they'll probably be taken elsewhere.Bermooda wrote:The Kenyan army command will leave Kismayo "soon," said Col. Willy Wesonga. I knew that + ain't Baardheere still in the hands of HSM. What i'm surprised by is since the Xabashis taking over Gedo i would of thought the KDF like the Amsiom in Bay would of handed over that region to them and those troops and the once leaving Kismayo would of been used for other towns in Lower Jubba like Jamaame and then on to Middle Jubba this shit is confusing
original dervish it seems like the Xabashis afraid of the OG led Jubbaland and are slowly chipping away the Kenyan influence there. Remember they were also responsible for destroying Ghandi Azania and now the Kenyans leaving Kismayo. This exactly what i mean when people think the Xabashi are on their side while it's clear as daylight to see they're playing their usual double game of divide and conquer

Bemooda....Hassan Sheikh came in on the back of h/g/qatari money.....spewing anti darood rhetoric.
Foreigners don't need to divide Somali's we are are quite capable of doing it ourselves.
We all know what it will take to restore sovereignty.
Don't blame folk for making alliances with foreigners when faced with a hostile Xamar.

Re: Kenya is being replaced from Kismayo.
Kenya can be tossed quickly, its not as adventurous as the Ethiopians to continually push their interests beyond a certain point.Villa Somalia has been quick to boldly criticize Kenya over the Kismaayo issue but lack the same courage with Ethiopia which was flying its own flag until the recent AMISOM changeover. Kenya is a soft target and even Villa Somalia can hold its weight against it. Kenya is also a functioning democracy unlike Ethiopia's tyrannical government, the core policies and interests of Kenya will likely change depending on who comes to power as governments are replaced, they may not be as interested in intervening in Somalia beyond the current mandate.Kenya is more interested in returning the million or so refugees atm than carving-out a client state, something it can't possibly achieve or maintain. the Ethiopians who are more cunning and dangerous are looking to keep Somalis weak through a long-term approach, domestic and foreign policy is carried by one-party so expect them to maintain a stable coordinated destabilisation policy on Somalia. What we can do in Somalia is to strengthen Villa Somalia and to keep federal states within the federal framework as opposed to challenging villa Somalia at every-turn especially in-terms foreign policy, A strong SFG is the only entity that can challenge other countries and will have affect. Of coarse we also need a stable responsible government in Villa Somalia that will not infringe on the rights of Federal states once a comprehensive federal framework is built. The current SFG whatever short-comings they have due to the transition to recognized permanent gov are in a more powerful position to get somalia out the gutter than the weak TFGs, it can navigate around Ethiopia and others if they play their cards right in the next few yearsoriginal dervish wrote:Basically J/Land is in the sphere of Kenyan influence, and the new three province SW State will be with the Ethiopians.

I agree with some of your views....however, this Hassan Sheikh regime is incapable of bringing Somalis together.
It's a matter of waiting for a new conciliatory Govt assuming office.

Re: Kenya is being replaced from Kismayo.
If Federal states get their share of the pie then there should be nothing stopping them from ceding power to the SFG in areas that fall within the jurisdiction of the SFG, co-operation and compromise is needed.
Hassan Sh was aggressive and didn't realise his power was limited in the current state of affairs, reality has dawned on him and he is now probably best advised to take a more conciliatory approach before hastily moving to exacerbate a problem as in Kismaayo.

Re: Kenya is being replaced from Kismayo.
I think it's too little too late for Hassan Sheikh. He treated Govt as a looted house.
Somalia needs a functioning federal govt.....just not this one.
The regions don't have any trust or confidence in the current regime....and rightly so.

Re: Kenya is being replaced from Kismayo.
Federalism will not work for our nation. International community must realise this and most of all somalis must realise this. Federalism will not work in our somali society as it will cause qabiil competitions, favouring and corruption. Creating federal states is too messy due to qabiils and somalis can never please every tribe, sub-tribe and sub-sub sub tribe; every tribe has their interests which will favour neighbouring countries like Ethiopia.
AFTER INDEPENDENCE, OUR NATION WAS PROGRESSING WITH ITS THEN ADMINISTRITAVE REGIONS, WHY MUST WE MOVE AWAY FROM THAT AND IMPORT 'FEDERALISM' FROM ABROAD?
