Jasmine, adeer, to be compared to Germaine Greer is flattering. You certainly do not have the suuro.

Jas, stop the too much hadal naayaa, and make me canjeero already. Even if I wanted to slap your bottom I can't coz it's baruurless, just like a man's.
Oday-Biiqay was one of Araweelo's lataliyeyaal & and in the end she had him killed or castrated, something like that. That's why I am on this campaign to divert Jas, Tush & Lil from that dangerous path.

Re: The blind date
Tuushi iyo Jasmine; my apology....
Mulki could not decide whose advice to take. Both Jasmine and Tuushi provided wise suggestions. However, both of them hardly know her “online” crush for Madaxeey.
Madaxeey was presentable, intelligent, convincing and his words resonated like those of a cerebral dude. Although he looked differently, he had thus far behaved like a gentleman . He did not insist on sharing a room.
On the contrary, he appeared to make sure that she felt at home. If anything there is to regret , t is her decision to travel to Denmark. Appearance wise, he was not leading the herd but average. He was slightly darker than she imagined but she was too. He was a little bit shabby but his teeth were as white as a sheet. He was the average Faarax that she meets in the streets of London except of course that this was Madaxeey.
Madaxeey was going through the same thoughts. To him, Mulki was not what he expected. She was very daring in the chatrooms. She was not the same kind of naughty girl that provided the rehearsals of rpassionate kisses, foreplays and what have you in the chatrooms. She had on several occasions mentioned how she will start trouncing his fingers the first time they meet. But, here she was and nothing much has happened. They have been together for more than three hours and yet despite the online chats, it felt like meeting a stranger.
It appears that the centrifugal forces are gone.
Mulki reread the messages from Tuushi and Jasmine. She had to make sure that she understood them.
Tuushi’s suggestion was too little too late. She has already checked into the hotel so leaving it is a crazy idea. Tuushi had always been the shrewd one among her online friends. Very careful in the chatrooms. If she would have not mentioned her age, one would have thought that she had lived to see Dhegadheer. She is careful in what she says. Too few words makes a woman a woman appeared to be her motto. The words that left her keyboards were always characterised by restrains and moderation.
On the other hand, Jasmine had always been the champion of gender equality. Whatever rocks your boat is worth it was something she always said. To Jasmine, life is about pleasing yourself and not others.
Mulki was overcome with indecisiveness. Both Tuushi and Jasmine’s suggestions were good depending on what road she wants to take. At the same, the polarity of the suggestions only added to her ambivalence.
She decides to see how things will fare the coming hours. After all, there are no signs yet that he would rape her. They are not sharing a room and in the worst case scenario, she was in Denmark, the land of gender equality.
She has to dress for dinner. She will put on the expensive dress that she bought a week ago in Bond Street London. She had told Madaxeey in the chatrooms that she had bought a special dress to wear during their first dinner. She will keep this promise. She took a shower, put on an expensive perform and styled her hair as if she is attending a gala. She even put on a lipstick for the first time in many years.
Madaxeey was vacillating and irresolute too. She was not the kind of woman who he would marry. Maybe a hit and run but nothing more. He would behave and see how things turn out he said to himself.
The hotel room was tidy. It had a mini-bar. Madaxeey opens it and fetches a small bottle of beefeater and tonic. He takes it in one sip. Another one. And before he knew it he had also drunk three bottles of Carlsberg and 375 ml of Rioja.
He looked at his watch and it was time to meet Mulki in the lobby. He rushes to the bathroom to brush his teeth so that she does not smell the alcohol scent. He also sprays several ml of perfume. He was not drunk (at least that what he thought) but the mere smell of alcohol in his breath will be enough for her to say good-bye.
Madaxeey quickly takes the lifts and within a few seconds in the lobby.
“sorry walaasheey, waan soo daahay”
It is ok aboowe she replied
He knew that the best strategy is to keep distance so that she does not smell his breath.
But this could not be hidden. It could be smellt throughout the lobby. Unless Mulki lacked the ability to recognise scents or she was herself drunk, she would smell it.
Mulki knew by now that she was dealing with a drunken man. Madaxeey was stumbling as they walked and his breath could be smelt from Mars.
…
To be continued…

Re: The blind date
Mulki thought this is it. The nail in the coffin. How on earth did she end up with a drunkard in a hotel in a strange country.
As soon as they are seated she will tell him that it was great meeting him but that she will visit her uncle tomorrow. To give this a sense of urgency, she tells him that she had already spoken to her uncle and that he will pick her at 7 am.
No way she would envision living with Madaxeey. Not only was he not her dooq but he was a drunkard.
Even thought he was not Romeo, she had given him the benefit of the doubt. She even wore an expensive dress and dressed/looked like a woman on a chase.
Anti-climax.
They approach a table for two.
She excuses herself to visit the bathroom. She wanted to sit for a while and reflect. Find ways to say goodbye.
She takes her mobile phone and composes yet another message to one of her other cyber friends, Vivacious.
Vivacious was an enigma in the chatrooms. She was as calm as the millpond. She was the kind of woman who had the aura of coolness . She hardly used a negative word. No one in the chatrooms had succeeded in capturing her character.
To many, she was like abooto Xaawo abaay faadumo rasuul. To others it was waxaay soo wado iyo webiga yaa weyn.
To Mulki, Vivacious is the kind of friend who will appraise the situation and give an honest reaction.
“Dear Vivacious. It is me Mulki. I am in Denmark in a hotel with a drunken. Do you remember Madaxeey? Prof We bster. I am with him in Denmark. He has been drinking.”
She decides to go to the table and wait for Vivacious’ s answer.
As she approached the table she could see Madaxeey was drinking. He had apparently ordered a drink.
“Abaayo. Qalanjo. Xabiibi. I love you” shouted Madaxeey when he saw Mulki.
Mulki was embarrassed. Toloow what should she do? He was afterall a somali.
For a second she felt some sympathy. He was probably lonely. He probably needed a woman in his life.
She looked at him and saw that he was shedding some tears.
“ Abaayo. I am sorry. I am a horrible man. I am an alcoholic. Help me. You are the only one that can help me. Pray for me. Read me afar faataxo and todoba marro on me. You can cure me from this disease abaayo macaan”.
Mulki started crying and starts wiping the tears.
“Aboowe, I will help you. Do not cry. Walaalkeey I will do everything for you.”
Just as she was about to hug him her phone pips.
It is a message from Vivacious.
“ Awful to read that. But, judging by your message, it seems that he is harmless. Buy time. Tell him you want a few hours to yourself. Think. Reflect and make a decision. I don’t want to do that for you because you are a strong woman. P.s. laba rakacood tuko”

Re: The blind date
Laba rakacood tuko
Jaale, I like Vivacious's reply. Exactly on point. You have absolutely put the words perfectly.
I don't like to decide for people in any case. At the end of the day its their lives.
He is of no harm at all. You can see he is just looking for someone to care about him. He is lonely and sound depressed from the loneliness.
If men like him who are willing to be helped stick to their words and become serious, I think I don't see the harm in giving them a helping hand.
But that part where she cries and wipes her tears is just utter nonsense. Why cry? Yaa dhintay?
She is too emotional though.
She doesn't even know the guy at all. She was definitely quick with her decision to help him. The " I will do everything for you" part was definitely unnecessary
She should have realised that she was talking to a drunk guy she never met before.
I suppose in your next chapter, she should talk to him when he is sober. Find out more about him, get to know him well, give both of them time to think and so on. And then decide if she wants to start a relationship with him or not. Or just help him and be a friend.
