Salaan is used in hargeisa and its close environs, more of a ladder then stairs though but it can be used interchangeably

How do you address stranger; Iska waran ? if someone said that to me out of the blue I would think, what a f-king weirdo. :lol: Asc Walaal or just walaal seems more appropriate to a stranger.

What I have noticed youth do alot, is call older women they don't know, Habiyar, I cringe every time, I always say eedo, once the woman called me habiyar and I replied back eedo, she got the message, she ain't my habiyar and eedo is just formal way reer mudug address older women. :lol:

Abooto means Ayeeyo and is mainly used by people from Middle Shabelle.
Qaado/Qaando is one and the same.

How I address a stranger = if it's older man/woman = Adeer/eedo, if it's someone my age, aboowe/abaayo :)

I say Qadifaad for carpet too! and mocoyo for grandma, but why u saying jaranjar/daraj and not kabad though where are u from? south galbed?
