Besides indhodeero the last notable reer Yonis with any contribution worth mentioning was kitte fiiq 100 years ago, back when the held the torch and all Habar Jeclo followed. Today they are not very influential or even close.
The most influential tribe in the east regardless of Habar is Ahmed Farah by a mile. Nobody even comes close. It's exactly as the topic starter put it and Hirsi is their emperor in waiting. They not only have the numbers but unlike the Reer Daahir with their faan and lazynimo, they work bloody hard. No job is too big or too small for them.

A 15 year old graduating from high school? come on
Waxaan maqlay in Siilaanyo iskuulkaba lagu qoray 12 jir, wixii intaa ka horeeyayna uu malcaamad quraan dhigan jiray.
Sida dad xog'ogaal ahi ii sheegeen, Siilaanyo isagoo laba iyo toban jir ah oo Djibouti ku sii socda, ayuu adeerkii ka dabatagay oo Saylac ka soo qabtay dabadeedna ku daray iskuulkii Camuud.
I met Siilaanyo several times since 2002, he never looked anything above 6 foots to me, but I am not the best judge when it comes to people's heights so he could be 6'1.
He moved to London for Secondary education and Advanced Level GCE between 1957-1960 so he was 18 when he went to University of Manchester.

Waxaan maqlay ....Sida dad xog'ogaal ahi ii sheegeen  ( waxaan maqlay...hibil aya igu yidhi...dad xog'ogaal ahi .... Is not authentic source Samatarow )

Muxu Jaabuuti ka doonaya Abihi reer Cadan iyo UK buu aha. If he wasn't happy with miyi life he was going to join his dad in Aden or UK instead of going to Djibouti. His uncle "foster father" was a senior government officer in Somaliland British Protectorate who worked in Zaylac and Hargeysa and Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud used to stay with him during his school holiday. His childhood and youth travels enriched his knowledge in Somaliland and Somalia topography and demography.

If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.

Horena waxa loo yidhi : hubsiimo hal baa la siistaa. In lagu murmo nin da'adi waa laga fiican yahay so no point to argue Mr. Samatar.

Funny thread...Waxa ugu daran kuwa taariikh waxba ka ogayn ee roodhida qalalan ee baarixigaa dacalka kala soo galay ee ku dhuuqaaya.

Magaalada Burco iyo labadii reer ee ugu soo hor dagay waxay ahaayeen Reer biniin iyo Reer Xusseen.

There's this famous afarey about Reer Biniin being the owners of Burco

#Biniin oo Burco jooga
Oo banka reerku u yaalo
Oo ban cawl geelu u daaqo
Haddii uu ku bireeyiyo
Haddii uu ku bad baadshoba
Biniin waa qushigii!!
