Those of us whom are more fortunate/achieved should be the ones that uplift the condition of our lessers. Bullshit. I'm a Somali undergraduate and I know plenty of Somalis who are successful or are trying to become successful (working hard, saving their money, etc.)

Obviously they're not as numerous as I'd like them to be.....but NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM claims to hate their Somali roots and wishes they weren't Somali. This is all bullshit. Anyone with an ounce of love for his own people would at the very minimum encourage them to do better. But you on the other hand, insist on degrading us and disparaging our culture/heritage

ohio state university doesn't count. i'm talkin ivy league or similar top tier institutions (i.e. stanford). only 1 or 2 somalis MAX are at these schools. and its only been recently that its gotten this high. and most of them are also girls. somali boys are non-existant at these places.

i don't think anyone's ever denied that. the argument is which shade is more typical. the pictures @Itrah posted earlier were definitely atypical. most somalis are dark skin and everyone knows that.
