Al-Shabaab is an arm of Ethiopian intelligence, led by General Gabre. They are basically arming and providing intelligence to Al-Shabaab in order to cause enough pain on other African forces in Somalia and reverse any gains made on the ground. It is basically an Ethiopian led offensive.

None at all. After they bombed the town twice, Kenyans were celebrating the reports of civilian deaths. That sort of person doesn't deserve to be saved because they'll go on a rampage at some point, I don't know what got into him.
KDF are a juicy prize because they kill Bantu Muslims, Swahili and Somali. I'm sure there were some Kenyans in that brigade because it was named after a Kenyan jihadi. For all we know a Kenyan jihadi infiltrated like they do the SNA.
