Oromo are the Somali nationalists of the sixties. Today they are what we were before we became dysfunctional anarchists who are selling their soul to everyone. before we became satisfied with our own villages. Most of these Somalis can't emulate the free Oromo who reminds their forefathers. Without the Oromo revolution , no Somali could have raised his head in the Somali region, even the ONLF who the only group that showed some resistance would have disappeared in few years. . We hope some of the Oromo mob actions will dissipate and they will grow as times go. They could be our last hope to have free Somali region from Ethiopia.

Do not try to stop this Oromo revolution by siding with Tigre or Amhara. It was Cabdi Illey who sent Millions of Ethiopian Bir to assist the displaced Tigre, and s send Somali elders to Maqale. Now, Mustafe is following the some route giving millions to Amhara while Somalis in the region have no water or other badly needed services. None of these bribes will make him untouchable or respectable, instead he will be like most who fall before him. Personally, I have no problem with him as of late. His biggest advantage is that he is someone who is not willing to spill Somali blood which something good in this region.

If Mustafe is deposed like many before him, it will not be the end of Somali people or Somalinimo. In fact, the most important thing in the region isn't about him, but Somalis creating a system were they can choose their leaders without the intervention of the federal government. The Amhara, Oromo and Tigray regions have created a system were the leaders would be no longer appointed from Addis.Somalis lost more land under Illey than anyone else in the last 12 years, yet now we see the defenders of Somalinimo longing for Tigray and Amhara.

I was in DireDhaba, other than few out of town gangs, the Oromo Muslims live peacefully with the Somalis. In Addis, the Oromo live with Somali area of Bole and surrounding area. These are our natural friends and brothers, but a power hungry Somali has no faith, morales or principles. The Haraghe Oromo are our neighbors and friends. These skirmishes from outsiders and other will be over sooner than later. Anyone Somali who chooses Tigray over Oromo must examine his head or faith.

Yet, the ORomo is multifaceted groups that will disintegrate sooner or later. The Hararghe Oromo are our trading and traditional partners and will oppose the Walega Oromo who are in power.

If Oromo keeps pushing Somalis they will lose more than to gain. These clashes were orchestrated by Tigray , Illey and now Magraase. They will fail.

The Dir Shir was sponsored by somalis and by Sonmalis. The emergence of the Dir within the Somali region will definitely change the balance of the power , but will not hurt the Somali cause. These people are not seeking to dominate or take away anyone's right or land. Since 1948, Somalis were hoping the exit of the colonial powers, yet nothing materialized in 1960. In the sixties and early seventies it was the king, after 1977 it was war and the Derg military regime. Since 1991 and last year it was the TPLF , ILley and oppression of Somalis regardless of a clan.

I dont necessarily believe Im Dir but there are some Isaaq that believe that and I respect their opinion. Theres something called 'freedom of thought'.
