I call oranges bambeelmo. I think it is an italian word or something.
am not talking about the fish eating ones in jubbooyinka
Absamaha jubboyinka degan waa wado geel dhaqato but they do have a very different accent from those in Ogadeniya. The waamo accent is very similar to the one spoken in Xamar.

it is not grapefruit because it is not bitter. it is a different sort of oranges.

qansa, fish eating literally igamay ahayn, i was referring to their waamo kismaayo malaay accent!.

i always used burtuqaan for orange, as many reer waqooyi do. burtuqaal is originally arabic. there are some arabic and indian words in the waqooyi dialect!.

okay, words like gaadhi and baadhasaab.
one of my relatives once visited another relative in india. they were riding a taxi and my relative said: "war gaadhi kharaab ah baad na saartay", to the shock of my relative, the indian cap driver looked back and said "sir, my gaadhi is not kharaab"!!.
