The one J2 sample in the study of 201 Danish Somalis is J2b, and is totally different from your results dawwa9, so this should finally put to rest the authoritative status of the 201-Somali sample, it is NOT COMPREHENSIVE! 0 of the results returned matched dawwa9's kit results, and he comes from a big clan.

The Danish study did not test for STR426 nor STR388, so there are only 10 points of comparison rather than 12

Differences:

The sample in the Danish study was:
12 24 14 10 15 19 --- --- 13 12 11 28

dawwa9's is:
12 24 13 10 14 17 11 15 12 12 11 29

I don't see why must be a lie, isn't there a whole tradition of Darood's roots in Arabia?

I ran it through the haplogroup predictor and it returned a 72% probability (anything over 50 is very high) that it's J2b. The other sample was also J2b in the Danish study, so it looks like there's a branch of J2b in Somalis.

J2 is levantine. A Somali having J2 is an unnatural occurence not reflective of society. Could have happened for any number of reasons including promiscuity.

Voltage: Or Darood was a Levantine Arab, and the later traditions tracing him to Aqeel are a later innovation, there are endless possibilities.
