kismayo population is anywhere between 200,000 to 300,000.

the economy of kismayo is also atleast 10 times bigger than that of burco.

look at the farms on the outskirts of kismaayo

lets be honest kismaayo is more important then burco and hargeysa. the only city in somaliland that can compete with kismayo is berbera and that is a ghost town.

People lets get with reality here!

There is no doubt that Burco is a fine and pleasant city. The people are safe,secure and prosperous by Somali standards, alhamdulilah.
Kismayo/Juba`s is the exact opposite, insecurity, uncertainty and poverty prevail, Allah Karim.

However, in terms of pure economic potential and sustainability, Kismayo/ Juba`s wins hands down.
It has the highest rainfall and the only perennial river in Somalia, abundant arable land, and industrious local population ie jarers.
It has a tropical coastline with the majority of somali coral reefs. The region is home to what big game is still left in the country.
Almost certainly there is oil/gas offshore, thats why the kenyans got the TFG to sign away our maritime rights to them.

Marehan has developed the city soo much. We have upgraded the port with help from Diaspora. We have built Kismayo university one of the largest Unis in the South. New neighbourhoods were created with Villas for diaspora people. Not to mention dozens of health clinics and schools. More to come Inshalah!!
