Nobleman, come on you're far smarter than this, you can't ignore 80 years of colonialism in Congo, that explains why Congo is worst off than Luxembourg. Sure leadership is part of it, but the main reason is colonialism.
It's illegal and punishable by death to speak out against the King of Saudi Arabia, so yea put your happy smiley face on, it's not as if you have much choice. In terms of freedoms, the House of Saud makes people Mubarak, Assad, and co, look like saints. Only difference is Allah blessed Saudi Arabia with the worlds largest reserve of the worlds most traded commodity, so they can go around build some extra cool sky scrapers.
Yes Exactly bro your proving my argument. I said that prosperity comes down to more than resources, your argument was resources is the single and only factor contributing to economic success. I acknowledge that both natural resources and good governance plays it part. Again I believe that the governance in Saudi is good because they are able to extract and manage their resources to benefit their population, who mostly have a very comfortable standard of living. Ignore the western definition of good governance, where human rights of foreign nationals plays a big part.
Also you are unable to provide any concrete evidence to suggest that the house saud inhibit the freedom of their population, much of your argument is based on your opinion. Finally I do acknowledge that the saudi govt is far from perfect.
The chief thing is still natural resources, this is more so than any form of governance. Saudi Arabia is in its position because they have the worlds largest oil reserves. Congo was colonized and most of their natural resources were taken by Belgium, why are you ignoring this? The world is run on national resources, particularly oil. It's the most important thing.
Why should we ignore the human rights of foreign nationals? Does the government not have a responsibility of ensuring the rights of all people who live in it's borders? Dude, what evidence do I need to provide, when it is all well known. There is no freedom of speech, freedom of press, there are no worker rights. You have to get government approval to do some of the most basic of things.

It is well documented in the forum certain members have an ax to grind against Saudi-Arabia, people like me who have done further analysis believe the issues goes way deeper and the country is just a escape goat. You have enlightensister who has confessed on numerous occasions of not wearing hijab but also acknowledging her choice of NEVER wearing it, aswell as hundreds of other extremely quasi liberal beliefs. This is a person who's clearly targeting a more conservative society.
So excuse me if I question their motives....
On the other hand if other members have legit concerns or problems with the kingdom and made a topic about it, I will be all ears.

Why should me or you say how a country should be governed? Somalia is a 3rd world country because of incompetent leaders and a population even worse.
Saudi Arabia have been able to manage these resources through good governance.
Cause it's a terrible monarchy, that has not only held back progress of the people in Saudi Arabia but the Muslim world as a whole. The House of Saud must fall, they're lackey's for western interest, and fuel the US war machine.
Somalia being a 3rd world country isn't because of leadership, if Somalia had the resources Saudi Arabia had it would be a very prosperous country. Somalia is a 3rd world country because of a lack of natural resources, there isn't a single proven quantifiable natural resource in Somalia. There's only food, fishing, and livestock.
Saudi Arabia is able to manage those resources through American oil companies, and the US petro dollar. There is no good governance, the whole country is run by a single family. The country is all a government bureaucracy. Their laws oppress people if they aren't a Saudi and treat them as if they were animals rather than humans.
You are fcking kidding, right? Right...?

I will jump in to say this is absolutely correct. Shirib is stating hard facts.
If Somalia did have abundant natural resources, they would've been found in the 60's (or even during colonialism as was the case of SA). USA and world powers would've done anything to assist whatever regime was ruling Somalia so they could ensure stability get their hands on those resources.
Somalia has no known resources besides fish, live stock, some minerals and other basic things. Anyway Somalia is mostly desert, this is not something unexpected.

Alot of Snetters are good heart members who always give people benefit of the doubt, I on the other hand am more skeptical, I can see right through decorations and chicken-stuffing. If it was up to me, You and Yalaxow would not have a posting career here, I can tolerate enlightensista even though she's heavily misguided.

can you not see how cheap and pathetic this is?
ps you can tolerate ES because she doesn't call out your BS. anyway thank god your a nobody.

I swear to god you have got to be one of the most confusing individuals on this forum. On one hand you decide that you have the right to call out Enlighten_Sista and other Somali women who choose not to wear the hijab. And, then on the other hand you turn around and continue posting pictures of scantly clad Somali women. If you decide to act like a self-righteous, holier than thou individual then please choose to stick to your shtick. Because what you are doing right now is just making you look like a f-king hypocrite.
