It just makes for one great story and validates whatevers being spewed in the mainstream media imo. "Twins jihading in Syria!!!" Somali people in the West are screwed in general, no need to focus exclusively on the women.
You've got three basic types:
1) The Akhi. This super religious nutjob desperately clings to anything even remotely "Islamic" as a way to stave off assimilation, ignoring the fact that wearing a khamiis and a pakol at the mall isn't exactly Somali tradition. This guy/girl is usually young, has been convinced by the local shiekh to get married within a few months, randomly interjects the words "yacni/akhi/cammi" in any given situation, and loudly preaches about the dangers of the "kufaar" while they're living off of the generosity of the state. If they've managed to find a spouse, expect their child to be given an obscure Arab name and forced to wear a tent from infancy if the child has the misfortune to be born female. This individual has bizarrely succumbed to Arab cultural imperialism despite living in the West, loudly proclaims the superiority of Arab culture at any given chance, and can be heard describing the civil war as a "blessing" and pre-war Somalia as an era of "jahilliyah" as if Islam reached our shores in 1991. Their complete rejection of American society has ironically led them to completely reject their own cultural identity as well. 50% of the under-30 crowd.
2) The Tyrone. This individual genuinely considers him/herself African American and completely identifies with the black community. You would have a hard time differentiating between this individual and your average New World Black. They desperately cling to this idea of black unity, despite the most open and vocal racism most Somalis experience in their initial years coming from this community. They've completely abandoned any pretenses of Somalinimo, and will most likely speak in the pidgin known as Ebonics. It's possible they'll have some sort of relationship with an African American, mostly in the form of baby momma/daddy drama, and will do everything they can to be accepted by the wider AA community. Most will have a petty criminal record, a number of sexually transmitted diseases, and a general lack of intellect. Scum of the f-king earth in my humble opinion. 30%.
3) The Lib/Dawkite. While not always an atheist, this individual generally considers Somali culture to be beneath them and disassociates him/herself from the Somali community. This person will go on and on about Sartre and Kierkegaard, while pouring scorn on anything even remotely related to their own traditions. They can be seen loudly criticizing our "barbaric culture" while championing fringe issues that have little to do with them, often telling anybody who'll give them the time the impossibility of a stable Somali state. They've internalized years of hatred and now genuinely believe Somalis are inherently incapable of accomplishing anything, going so far as to suggest we're better off being run by foreigners. This person will try to assimilate at all costs, and will most likely do whatever it takes to find a white person willing to mate with them. 20%

Just over the last two days Yahoo and BBC had to recant two ridiculously far fetched stories about ISIS and both of these outlets are far more reputable than the Daily Mail. Doesn't anyone notice how nowhere in the story have they cited a shred of reference, not even a screenshot of the supposed social media accounts the girls have been sharing stories of learning how to handle guns, staying inside their homes and reading the Quran. Where is the evidence? As Alshabaibe pointed out, these girls could have been victims, either abducted or lured in to Syria. The family hasn't given any statement regarding the matter, we haven't been presented with any evidence of anything indicating these girls are "sex Jihadis", how about exercising some common sense? If we're this easily duped about our own, what about the countless others who know so little of us? These types of topics only do more harm than any good. Whatever grievances anyone has against Somali women, this isn't the venue to vent it.

Horta you guys only want to believe what your narrow mind wants and not necessarily the truth. The truth is not what the papers are reporting nor is it as sexually charged as some of you sexually deprived grown men dream about.
The girls come from a very religious family there brothers and their father lead the prayers at two different mosques and they were well respected in the community. At this stage M15/6 or whatever is all over the seen looking for as many Somalis as possible to a) make the news and b) further their anti Islam agenda.
So let's make dua for them all and close this thread...
