On the contrary, when you have an established clan like Harti, with many sub clans under one umbrella, it's illogical to claim matrilineal connection to a clan that's not established. The nickname Arap was given much later.
Harti at that time were undivided and like I previously stated whether a clan is established today or the 16th century is not determined by subclan number solely as other factors come into play. The only way you can dismiss Harti oral claims is if we had access to some form of historical texts highlighting when these clan patriarchs lived and that is unlikely as we are an oral society.
By the way, I never stated they were called Bah Arab, I just asserted that one of the Bahs maternal ancestor was a daughter of Arab.

I can dismiss their claims because their claims are inconsistent and illogical.
If Harti was undivided so was Habar Magaadle. These two umbrellas lived during the same time period and took part in the same war. How can Siciid the son of Harti claim one of the sons of the Habar Magaadle coalition as his apti when they lived during the same time period? It makes no sense..

Inconsistencies in abtirsi, different rates of multiplication....Allah only knows bro but that is their oral tradition. If only we were a literate society back in the Dark Ages.

I can claim my paternal line to the original Warsangeli Sultanate Line (Reer Fatax Garad). My maternal line is Ogayslabe (Reer Guleed Ali). Haven't been on this for a while but just wanted know if you guys have any info on these two tribes? Also what would be the best dna test to try for. Also is it really true Warsangelis are J1's

Get a 23andMe kit and see for yourself, it's only 99 bucks. Worth the small price.

Do all Isaaq subclans share the T chromosome, or just Garxajis?
If they do, beyond a doubt Isaaq is part of the greater Dir clan

Isaaqs has always been dir. the banu hashim abtirsi is obviously questionable. thousands of Muslim clans claim Prophet mohamed family to boost their nobility. There is no doubt that at least majority of isaaqs share blood with other Dir clans. I have been observing The Tolniimo level between the two sides last couple of years and I have already realised that isaaqs share Something with dir.
You are one Isaq dude who makes sense bro. Inadeer, keep up the good work

Don't be like Xildiid doqon. Of course, Liquid and hoobariska and the rest of Duriyadda and the cool northern guys, I have nothing against them.
I like inaan burris madaxa kala dhaco some of the qaldaans here LOL.
I am wallawayn by admission btw and have no issues with the name. It is regional. That is where I am from. Koonfur.
I did this test sometime and got your average Somali result.

btw, to some of you idiots here who think being T has no connection to the majority Somalis who took the test, you are listed as third and fourth cousin on 23andMe to non T Somalis.
That should be enough for you dimwits.

Xildid cuqdaad ba dishay dad buu hooyadaad kuu haysta lol how many Idoor woman have darood kids and vise versa? In his mind maba dhici karto lol
Too rub salt on your cuqdad sickness.
Faduma Ceebla Daughter of Arap Sheikh Isxaaq had 8 Sons and many daughters, She was married to Xaaji Absame she had Jidwaaq, Aweyteen, Balcaad and the mighty Ogaden. She became a widow and the closest living male relative was Absames 1st cousin Harti, she had 4 more sons, Dhulbahante, Kaski qabe, Libaan Gashe & Geesi Guule.
DHULBAHANTE, Harti, Kombe, Kablalax, Darood
FADUMO Arap Isaaq
Even if isaaq is a younger clan that compares to Kablalax or even Kombe, Harti N Absamr still in their old age can marry A 14 or 15 yr old or younger, a girl that can be their grand daughters age, even if we follow your logic u make no sense.

OP it looks like you're the minority of Isaaqs who aren't really descended of their patriarch. Your ancestors were Dir who were assimilated over time into the Isaaq family. The good news is you're a native ethnic Somali, unlike most who are maternally habesha and paternally Arab. You should forsake these interlopers and rejoin your kinsmen among the Dir clan. You should also reclaim your ancestral homeland (Somaliland) and boot the occupiers back to theirs (Iraq).

Arap wasn't an independent clan when these sub clans had been established for atleast 200 years, that means the forefathers of those sub clans couldn't have had the daughter of Arap as mother. It's impossible.
Iidoor women with Darood kids are not Iidoor. If they marry outside the family they lose that privilege.

Chill dude, no need for petty insults.
Somalis marry outside their own clan and as a result, many of us have relatives from other clans hence why your third and fourth cousins on 23andme most likely belong to a different clan than you. The 23andme relative finder tool is based on autosomnal DNA.
Furthermore, I do not think any Somali T y-dna carrier on Snet has stated that they do not have a connection with other Somalis. I am alone in finding out whether Somali haplogroup T made its way from North Africa (most likely) or from the Arabia peninsular via a sea route but that does not mean I discard the fact that I am related to E1b1b Somalis.

Both E-V32 and J are found among Warsangelis. To begin researching what Warsangeli subclans possess J, start off by asking Garad-LQ and another member called Oldenglish for their respective subclans. You can also contact James Dahl to find out what subclans the E-V32 Warsangelis that shared their results with him belong to. Do the test yourself as you might encounter more Warsangelis on your relatives list. Lastly, if they are willing, ask the others Snetters that are on 23andme if they have any Warsangeli relatives in their lists. Bear in mind that their relatives might be duplicates of the same relative.

This is greatly exaggeration. Other than 1 or 2 sub-clans that lived with each other and intermarriage was common among them, most Somalis are tribally homogeneous and either all of their great grand-parents are from the same sub-clan or at the very least from the same clan. All 4 of my great grand-parents are from the same sub-sub-clan and this is true for most Somalis I know of all different clans. In the disapora, intermarriage is practically nonexistent and everyone sticks to their own kind these days.
