"600 years after the Prophet is 1400+ years ago, which is historical. Secondly, Paul hadn't seen Jesus either.
Technically, Muhammad did meet Jesus in his ascent."
Old, an historically relevent are not the same thing. It is not a first or second or even third person account. Therefore, from a historical point of view, it's irrelevent.
The ascent is a fairy tale. Not something that can be proven. If I tried to use the argument in a court of law that I "ascended" and Jesus told me to do something, it wouldn't fly (excuse the pun).

Israel is not interested in peace. If they sign a lasting peace-deal with Palestinians, they'll lose their lifeline of a Free 10Billion US-dollars annually from America plus the most Sophisticated weapons. Today, America has just delivered a whole ship of load of a High-Tech Bunker-Busters to the Israel army against Hizbollah.
What do you think if they were fighting Syria?
US Airforce/UsMarines/Navy ships/Navy Seals will be directly deployed in the frontline. That's the way the Israelis won all Israeli-Arab wars!

B-Max
I am not so sure about that. I think the majority of Israelis are interested in peace. Now, whether or not Olmert and his party are interested in peace, or whether the terms they are willing to settle for peace with are reasonable, that's another point all together. But at the core of the society, I think they do want to have peace. They just aren't willing to give up the Jewish identity of the state to have that peace.

The U.S. government, has a lot of leeway when it comes to its relationship with Israel. It can get away with pursuing Israel's interests, to the detriment of our own, simply on account of the blindness of most people to the nature of the "special relationship" – and its geopolitical and financial repercussions. Very few know, for example, that Israel gets over $3 billion a year from the U.S. in "foreign aid," and that we subsidize the Israeli military budget to the tune of some 20 percent. Any news that puts Israel in a bad light is downplayed, or else completely ignored. For example, the shocking charges against two lobbyists for Israel, AIPAC honcho Steve Rosen and the group's Iran analyst, Keith Weissman – spying for Israel – should have generated front-page headlines; instead, the case has puttered along pretty much beneath the media radar

Mohammed Sex is right, it is closer to the neighborhood of 3 billion. And most of that is tied to the Camp David accord giving the Sinai back to Egypt. There is no linkage that you are making B-Max.
And from this poll and many others, I think it is clear that the Arabs problem doesn't concern Israeli sincerity, it concerns their presence. The Hizbollah press speaker himself said Hizballoh's goal is for the Jews to leave Palestine. That is their objective. It is not to see a Palesinina state or a return of the Golan to Syria or any other singular territorial demand, it is that Israel ceases to exist. Not a good negotiating start point.

Did you forget that Israelis BELIEVE and adhere to Death according to the teachings of the Bible that ALL of Palestine was promised to the Jews by their God?
It's the duty of every Jewish person to kill and capture the "Promised land"
I'm wondering why didn't their God just give it to them from get go instead of killing innocent people and driving them out of their homes and land?
p.s MAD MAC, we know that this kind of Global Geo-politics was not intended for a US/Mexico boarder Patrol like you.

This must be the definition of divine justice. God put the two dumbest people on earth, Jews and Muslims, on the same patch of sand and told them it was holy. That way they can kill each other over it for eons.

Actually, the Jews & Muslims killing each other over it is a new phenomenon.
Most of the time it was the Christians from Europe vs. the Muslims
In fact, it still is Christians vs. Muslims there......the Israelis are more or less just the proxy.........the Christians are backing up the Jews so they can be "Raptured"

Gedo
You know CNN just did a little piece on a Jesus freaks in the states who are convinced this is the prelude to Armegedon. The funny thing is, every time there is a crisis in the Middle East, they are convinced that it is the prelude. And they are looking forward to it!
See, it just goes to show that you don't have to be a Muslim to be an idiot. Almost any religion will do. Tell you what. I am going to move to Thailand, and all you religious freaks can go to the "Holy Land" and fight over it while I get some hot Thai trim.
