People always are assuming as if Siad Barre is still there and going to bomb the North systematically all over again. Or Hawiye are going to go haywire again.
Point is no one knows, it looks like all of the commercial and economic stuff is going to be up North for awhile.
Also, there is only one region which seeks full independence. Every other province and region wants or has autonomy. Look at countries with multiple provinces and how they have governors and a government, but under a federal gov't umbrella.

Its not even about Siad Barre. You automatically discredit anyone who is a southerner based on the actions of maniacs. And you act as if the TFG represents all southerners, when most despise it but we have to put up with it because they are internationally recognized, have a constituition and a process in which good people can inherit later on.

I know there was reconciliation in Waqooyi to a certain degree and thats why its peaceful. If it could happen up there, it can happen down South.
Plus, the International Community isn't going to recognize a small country called Awdal
The only way to lasting peace is full autonomy for different regions. Each province in that region has its representative and the regions can govern themselves. The Federal Government has them under an umbrella, but all these reps make up the parliament in the Federal Government.
Thats the only way to do this. I hate to see Amharas being born in Hargeysa or using our Berbera port, it disgusts me walahi. And yes, I can say "our" because Somalia, Somaliland, whatever you wanna call it, is for all Somalis. And my other half is Waqooyi, but thats besides the point.
